    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress demagnetization of a divided permanent magnet formed by dividing a permanent magnet matrix into multiple parts.SOLUTION: Divided permanent magnets 30 and 32 are formed by forming straight notch portions in a permanent magnet matrix, diffusing metal having higher coercivity performance than the permanent magnet matrix into the permanent magnet matrix from surfaces thereof including the notched surfaces, and dividing the permanent magnet matrix into a plurality of permanent magnets along the straight notch portions. An Nd-Fe-B sintered magnet may be used as the permanent magnet matrix, and dysprosium (Dy) may be used as the metal having higher coercivity performance. A plurality of straight recessed portions 12, 14 and 16 or straight grooves may be used as the notch portions.
