    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce works for supplying sheet bundles by continuously performing a sheet feeding operation till using up sheets in each sheet feeding tray. SOLUTION: A table associating a sheet size with the sheet feeding tray is referred to according to the sheet size instructed by a user, and sheet feeding from the selected tray is performed (S102). Before finishing printing in execution, sheets stored in the tray which is feeding sheets are used up in a stopped state of the sheet feeding (S104-YES). If there are a plurality of other trays storing the same sheets (S105-YES), the tray to be used for the next time is determined from the trays according to a prescribed rule. To change the determined tray, table data of a sheet-tray table (Fig.2) are rewritten (S106). S102 to S106 are operations for using up sheets in the trays, and the operations are managed by a sheet size-tray table.     • PURPOSE:To enable the automatic change of a paper size by using a feed unit provided with a discharge port opened upward in order to conduct a copying material toward the guide aperture on the body side of a copying machine and a conveying path for conducting the copying material fed from the imposing part to the discharge part. CONSTITUTION:Plural pieces of cassette loading parts 56, 57 are disposed to a machine box 51. Light sources 60, 61 and photodetectors 62, 63 for detecting the presence or absence of paper, paper feed rollers 64, 65 and microswitches MSa, MSb for detecting paper sizes are disposed to the respective loading parts. The conveying path for the copying paper is formed from the parts 56, 57 up to the discharge port 52 for the copying paper and intermediate feed rollers 70-73 are disposed therein. The body 1 of the copying machine and a base plate 50 are thoroughly united and the body 1 is easily changed over to the copying machine having the function to permit automatic change of the paper size when the body 1 is correctly imposed on the base 50 and when the microswitch MS3 operates after a paper guide case 85 is mounted to the part 6.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent partial deterioration in performance without displacing the drum and also prevent the occurrence of uneveness of density, by installing a picture writing means which can change the picture writing position to the picture carrier in the direction of axis and paper feeding means which can change the paper feeding position in accordance with the picture writing position. CONSTITUTION:A light from a semiconductor laser 2 forms the image on the picture scanning line 10 on a drum 1 through an optical modulator 3, which modulates conrrespondingly to a picture information signal to be recorded, mirror 4, image forming lens 5, etc. This picture writing is performed as described below. Upon receiving a reflected light from a photodetective mirror 7, a photodetective sensor 8 supplies a signal to a delaying device 9 and the optical modulator 3 is controlled by the output of the device 9. That is to say, the picture writing position can be changed optionally by changing the time by a delaying time adjustor 9' in the direction of axis. Correspondingly to this position change, cassettes 12a and 12b of copying paper are fitted to the main body of this device after they are displaced by a distance (l), which is equal to the displacement between the original picture writing position (a) and the displaced writing position (b).

    • PURPOSE:To automatically release the nip pressure of a paper carrying device at the supply of normal paper simultaneously with the charge of a thick paper cassette, by adopting a rink mechanism interlocked with the charge of the thick paper cassette. CONSTITUTION:A rink 3 is attached to a paper carrying unit through a rink supporting point 4 and one end of the ring 3 has an extension part (a) extended to the lower part of the shaft of a turn pinch roll 1 pressed against a turn roll 2 pressing paper to a photosensitive drum 9 by a spring 7 and the other end has a projected part (b) pressed against a small chip 5 of a paper cassette 6. When a normal paper cassette is replaced by the thick paper cassette 6, the small chip 5 presses the projected part (b), so that the rink 3 is turned around the supporting point 4, the extended part (a) on the other side is moved upwards to push up the shaft of the turn pinch roll 1 upwards and the nip pressure of the turn roll 2 is released. Consequently, the thick paper is smoothly supplied and carried.
