    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively attain the reduction of NO2 in exhaust gas, by supplying a reducing agent from the upstream of an oxidation catalyst when deciding a flow amount of the outside air fetched to a Diesel engine in a prescribed value or less and a temperature of the oxidation catalyst or exhaust gas in a prescribed value or more. SOLUTION: During operation of an engine, a CPU72 reads a catalytic temperature and an intake flow amount from a catalytic temperature sensor 66 and an air flow meter 61, the catalytic temperature is decided for whether it is within a prescribed temperature or not. Here, in the case of deciding YES, next, the intake flow amount is decided for whether it is smaller than a prescribed preset value or not, in the case of this decision YES, successively, a fuel injection pump 16 is drive controlled, a prescribed amount of light oil is injected into an intake passage 6 from a fuel injection valve 15. Injected light oil works as a reducing agent in an oxidation catalyst 14, produced NO2 is reduced to NO with oxygen taken by light oil. On the other hand, the light oil is further oxidized by the oxidation catalyst 14, to be decomposed to H2 , CO2 , etc.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall-flow exhaust gas cleaning filter that can combust and remove particulates in the pore interiors of the partition walls. SOLUTION: There is provided a wall-flow exhaust gas cleaning filter having many cells formed in an exhaust flow direction, in which the cells are alternately plugged and opened at the exhaust gas inlet, with the plugged cells being opened at the exhaust gas outlet and the opened cells being plugged at the exhaust gas outlet. The entire surface in a pore formed in the interior of a partition wall between the cells is covered with a coat layer for catalyst support.
