    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method and system for contaminated soil capable of certainly and efficiently recovering the contaminant existing in a predetermined layer in ground, particularly a hardly gas/water permeation layer.
      SOLUTION: The cleaning system 1 for the contaminated soil is provided with an air pressure-introduction mechanism for ventilation for feeding ventilation air to a contaminated area 4 contaminated with the contaminant 3 such as an oil and dioxins or a volatile organic chlorine compound of an unsaturated hardly-gas/water-permeable layer 2 as the predetermined layer existing above underground water level; a vibration imparting mechanism 41 for imparting vibration to the contaminated area 4; and a gas treatment facility 13 for sucking the contaminant 3 carried with the ventilated air with the air. The vibration imparting mechanism 41 comprises a vertical shaft 42 excavated to the unsaturated hardly gas/water permeation layer 2; and a shaker 43 installed at an excavation bottom of the vertical shaft. The vibration having desired frequency can be imparted to the contaminated area 4 of the unsaturated hardly gas/water permeation layer 2 by driving the shaker.

      SOLUTION: In the subject purification method for the volatile organic chlorine compounds related to the present invention, the compounds are drawn out of an agitation region 6 while reversely rotating a hollow agitator shaft 1 and agitation blades 4. In this drawing process, activated carbon-iron adhered body 32 conveyed through a conveying space in the shaft 1 is jetted from discharge ports 31 provided in the blades 4. By this operation, the chlorine compounds contained in a polluted region 3 is first adsorbed to power of the activated carbon constituting the activated carbon-iron adhered body 32 to purify the polluted region 3. The chlorine compounds are made harmless by iron constituting the activated carbon-iron adhered body 32 after adsorption.

When the head 3 is pushed on the soil surface and the head surface is allowed to abut on the soil surface, the tubular projecting parts 4 are inserted into soil by only the projecting length. When the pump 2B is driven in this state, the powdery bacterial bed housed in the tank 1 is injected into soil from the tubular projecting parts 4 through the force-feeding pipe 2A.
