    • PURPOSE:To facilitate assembly of a package with low cost, by brazing a sealing metal member inside of two insulating tubes ends individually through, auxiliary members capable of plastic deformation and by placing and sealing an element between conductors attached to each outer end part. CONSTITUTION:A power element 51 is clamped with conductors 3 and 4 brazed to two ceramic insulating tubes 11 and 12. The structure is such that an airtight container is sealed with sealing metal members 21 and 22 brazed to an inner end of each tube. The sealings metal members 21 and 22 are made of tensible iron or SUS. Auxiliary members 23 and 24, which are made of plastic copper or the like formed in cooling process after brazing, are placed and brazed between the insulating tubes 11 and 12. The element 51 is housed through a tunsten plate 52 and then the sealings 21 and 22 are made to seal by pinching off. Assembly is completed by introducing a gas from a lead tube 62 and attaching the lead tube 62. This facilitates assembly and sustains strength even if inexpensive material is used for ceramic brazing.

    • PURPOSE:To absorb the minute current flowing into a negatie electrode chamber and prevent the occurrence of abnormal electrodeposition, by providing an electrode in the vicinity of a catholyte IN and OUT channel of each single battery, and by connecting this electrode to the corresponding each electrode with a conductive material. CONSTITUTION:An inlet side common manifold 21 on the part communicating with a negative electrode chamber 7 in a single battery 1 on a layer-built end and an outlet side common manifold 24 are penetrated through by electrodes 15 and 16 while those manifolds and electrodes being bonded. An inlet side common manifold 21 on the part communicating with the negative electrode chamber 17 of a single battery 11 and an outlet side common manifold 24 are penetrated through by electrodes 27 and 28; these manifolds and electrodes being stuck by an adhesive agent. The electrodes 15 and 16 out of electrodes 15, 16, 27 and 28 are connected to a terminal 9 by means of a connecting body 10 and kept at the same potential as a negative electrode 2. The electrodes 27 and 28 are connected to a connecting body 19 by means of a connecting body 20, and kept at the same potential as a negative electrode 12 of a single battery 11.
