    • PURPOSE:To realize accurate measurement with no influence of bubbles in the vicinity of detecting part in an apparatus for measuring the concentration of a suspension in which a light beam is projected from an infrared LED into a water to be inspected through a detector section, the light scattered by the suspended solids in the water is received by light receiving elements for N and F disposed at two points separated differently from the infrared LED, and the concentration is measured based on an amplified signal. CONSTITUTION:Bubble detecting electrodes 20a, 20b are disposed on the opposite sides of an optical fiber bundle 1 at a detector section 6 and an AC voltage of predetermined frequency is applied between the electrodes 20a, 20b from a detecting circuit 22. The voltage to be detected by the detecting circuit 22 is significantly lower when the air is present between the electrodes than when water or sewage sludge is present. When the detected voltage is lower than a set value, a decision is made than bubbles are present and an alarm is delivered from an alarm circuit 23.

    • PURPOSE:To secure the smooth operation of a water supply pump by controlling the operation of the water supply pump by utilizing the information after a prescribed time from the control time on the basis of the demand estimation. CONSTITUTION:In a calculation part 8, the quantity of water supply pumps 2a-2n in operation is calculated on the basis of the estimated water supply demand quantity and the discharge quantity of the water supply pump after a prescribed time from the present, and the result of the calculation is outputted into a CRT 12, and if an operator 14 judges that the operation is correct, the operation plan of the water supply pump on the basis of the result is determined, and if the operation is not correct, calculation is carried out again by changing the time after the above-described prescribed time by a keyboard 13, and the optimum operating plan is determined by a program setting part 9. In a judgement part 10, the operation order selecting instruction signal is inputted into an operation order selecting circuit 6 on the basis of the operation plan in the setting part 9 and the water level at present. The circuit 6 inputs a selecting signal into a pump operation circuit 7, and the pump operation in a pump yard 2 is executed. Therefore, the number of times of selecting the pump operation is reduced, and the smooth pump operation can be carried out.

    • PURPOSE:To enable accurate agitation and internal cleaning by moving a rotor containing a permanent magnet rotatively along the inner circumferential surface of a measuring tank through a plurality of solenoids on the outer circumference thereof in a respiration ratio meter which measures the concentration of oxygen in a measuring tank closed with a dissolved oxygen electrode to calculate a respiration rate. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of solenoids 5A each having a stator 5 formed in a ring are arranged on the outer circumference of a measuring tank 1 with a dissolved oxygen electrode 4 for measuring changes in the concentration of oxygen. When a direction of current of these solenoids 5A is controlled, a resin molded object 6A containing a permanent magnet 6B having a rotor 6 formed thereon is moved rotatively along the inner circumferential surface of the tank 1 to stir up the inside of the tank 1 accurately while the inner circumferential surface of the tank 1 is cleaned up. This enables continuous measurement of a respiration ratio without maintenance for a long time with a simple construction.

    • PURPOSE:To perform accurate measurement by eliminating a measuring error caused by contamination, by altering the washing cycle of a turbidity measuring and detecting part in accordance with the degree of the contamination of said detecting part. CONSTITUTION:A memory circuit 15 obtains the turbidity signal X1 immediately before washing is started from a holding circuit 13 to store and hold the same. Next, the holding of the holding circuit 13 is released when washing is finished and an input circuit 16 inputs the turbidity signal outputted from the holding circuit 13 as it is. The input value at high time is set to X2. Subsequently, the memory value X1 of the turbidity signal of the memory circuit 15 and the input value X2 to the input circuit 16 are taken in an operation apparatus 17. The operation apparatus 17 performs the operation of X1-X2 to supply to operation value DELTAX to a controller 14 which in turn automatically alters the length of a preset washing cycle t1 on the basis of the value DELTAX. By this method, accurate turbidity can be measured and excessive washing can be prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To calibrate a 0 point only through the operation of a changeover switch by connecting a protection diode in reverse parallel to a light emitting diode and providing the changeover switch, etc., on the output side of a light emitting circuit. CONSTITUTION:The changeover switch 8 which switches the direction of an output current is provided on the output side of the light emitting circuit 1 of a converter D to supply the output of the circuit 1 to the light emitting diode 4 through the switch 8, and the protection diode 7 is connected in reverse parallel to the diode 4. Then when calibration is performed, standard liquid with necessary turbidity is put in a container and the tip part of a detection part A is dipped therein. In this state, the switch 8 is operated to switch the current direction to the opposite direction, i.e. current direction where a current flows to the diode 7, thereby adjusting the 0 point. Then the switch 8 is operated to switch the current direction to the forward direction, thereby making an adjustment so that the necessary turbidity is indicated. Thus, the 0-point calibration is performed only by the operation of the switch 8.

    • PURPOSE:To effectively prevent the adhesion of a contaminant to a measuring device and to remove string-like dirt by engaging the lower end of the blade of a detection part with the step part of a wave preventing pipe. CONSTITUTION:The detection part 1 of a measuring device consists of a side surface detection type DO electrode 11, a body part 12 and a blade part consisting of three blades 13. The inner diameter of a wave preventing pipe 2 is formed into a stepwise state so that the lower parts of the blades 13 are engaged with a step part 25. Therefore, the detection part 1 is accurately set at a predetermined position only by allowing the measuring device to fall in the wave preventing pipe and, when the detection part 1 is moved upwardly from the set position, gaps are formed between the wave preventing pipe 2 and the blades 13. Since the lower ends of the blades 13 are inclined so as to be capable of guiding dirt in the outer end direction thereof, the dirt hooked with the blades 13 are gathered to the outer end parts of the lower ends of the blades 13 and easily flows out of the gaps formed by the upward movement of the detection part 1. Since the interval between the DO electrode 11 and the wave preventing pipe 2 is narrowed, washing effect due to air bubbles can be enhanced.
