    • PURPOSE:To suppress a crosstalk so as to attain improvement of a picture quality and largeness of capacity by applying drive voltage to a liquid crystal layer between a picture element electrode and a common electrode first when voltage, exceeding a threshold value of a non-linear 2-terminal thin film, is applied between a switching electrode layer and the common electrode. CONSTITUTION:A transparent non-linear 2-terminal thin film 15 is formed so as to cover a switching electrode layer 13, lead wire 14 and an internal surface of a semiconductor substrate 11. The non-linear 2-terminal thin film 15, having predetermined non-linear voltage-current characteristic, is a varistor film conducted when voltage of exceeding predetermined threshold value is applied. When the voltage of exceeding the threshold value of the non-linear 2-terminal thin film 15 is applied between the switching electrode layer 13 and a common electrode 18, drive voltage is applied to a liquid crystal layer 19 between a picture element electrode 16 and the common electrode 18. In this way, improvement of a picture quality and largeness of capacity can be attained by suppressing a crosstalk.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an optical card having high durability and excellent in mass productivity and having the good reproducibility of unevenness by forming the advance data region on a data recording surface as a recessed or protruding part and specifying the angle of inclination formed by the inclined surface constituting a V-shaped recessed or protruding part and the normal line of the data recording surface to specify the bending of the optical card. CONSTITUTION:Unevenness 5 is formed to the surface of an optical card 1 to record advance data. As the unevenness 5, recessed parts are formed or protruding parts are formed in a chevron-shape. Each of the chevron-shape protruding part 20 provided to the data region 9 present on the data recording surface 7 of the first base material 29 is provided so that the wall surface thereof is formed into an inclined surface 6 and the angle theta of inclination formed by the inclined surface 6 and the normal line A of the data recording surface 7 is formed so as to become 15-85 deg. over 50% or more of the total inclined surface. When the optical card 1 is placed on a support stand of a fulcrum-to-fulcrum distance of 20mm and load of about 15kg is applied to the optical card 1 at the almost central part between fulcrum points by a press wedge (prescribed in JIS K7203), the bending of the optical card 1 is 2mm or more. Therefore, the optical card having high durability and performing stable recording and reproduction even when accuracy forming the height or width of unevenness is slightly inferior is obtained.
