This cucumber is transferred to the beginning end of transportation of a belt conveyor 8 of a shape discriminating apparatus 6 and the length thereof is detected by a discrimination sensor 9 during transportation. The cucumber is then clamped again by the finger moldings 1 and is placed to the prescribed position of the prescribed loading container 7 in accordance with the information detected by the sensor 9, where the clamping is released and the cucumber is loaded into the container.
