When a vehicle body is deformed on the head-on collision of the vehicles to make the main seat rail 21 and the sub seat rail 30 non-parallel to each other and then a front seat 11 cannot be slid to the rear side, the front seat 11 is slid to the rear side along the main seat rail 21 by removing the sub seat rail 30 from the side face of the floor tunnel 29, to allow an easy rescue of an occupant. Still, the front seat 11 is not automatically slid to the rear side under the impact of the collision to avoid the interference with the lower legs of the occupant on the rear seat.
