    • PURPOSE:To make the part for the electrical instrumentation unnecessary in the work of installation for the functioning system of a sensor member which is put in contact with a liquid chemical so that the cost of the equipment can be lowered. CONSTITUTION:A liquid receptacle 13 is provided as a means of holding a pool of liquid chemical which has leaked out of a liquid chemical storage tank 12 and as a means into which such liquid chemical is made to flow. A valve 16 for the opening and closing is provided in a transferring line 15 which extends from the liquid receptacle 13 to a specific place. A force pressing the valve 16 either toward the opening or toward the closure is applied thereto by a pressing means 31. Counteracting this force from the pressing means 31, a holding means holds the valve 16 either in the closed state or in the open state. This holding means has a sensor member 33 which is so placed as to be put in contact with the liquid chemical when it flows into the liquid receptacle 13 and designed to be dissolved upon contact therewith. The dissolution of the sensor member 33 causes a break in the channel for transmitting the action of the holding means to the pressing means 31.

    • PURPOSE:To economically hold a product to be protected at protection potential over a long term by connecting the product and an opposite insol. electrode to the cathode and anode of a galvanic anode power source, respectively, and charging an electrolytic soln. between the product and opposite electrode to form a closed circuit. CONSTITUTION:Product 3 to be protected and opposite insol. electrode 5 are connected to the cathode and anode of galvanic anode power source 6, respectively, and electrolytic soln. 7 is charged between product 3 and electrode 5 to form a closed circuit. Product 3 is held at protection potential. This method replaces an expensive power source unit required for outer power source methods with cheaply usable power source 6, and opposite electrode 5 is made of insol. anode material to prevent contamination of soln. 7. Since the potential of power source 6 is determined with a pair of metals combined, overprotection is avoided. Problems such as waste of protection current and overprotection are solved with outer power source 6, making an automatic controller unnecessary.
