    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to remove discontinuity troubles by a method wherein momentary voltage is applied to the super-conducting body of a permanent current switch, and the attachment of a heater is unnecessitated. CONSTITUTION:A switch S1 is turned off, a switch S2 is turned on, and momentary voltage is applied to the superconducting body 4 of an on-state permanent current switch to be used for on-switching. As the self-inductance of the permanent current switch 3 is small, a current reaches the critical current simultaneously with the application of voltage, the superconducting body 4 is transferred to normal conduction, it is turned into the state of resistance and switched to an off state. Besides, voltage is added to the resistance generated on the superconducting body 4 itself. Joule heat is generated, and the permanent current switch 3 is heated up for a short period. As the specific heat of the superconducting body 4 is low at a cryogenic temperature, it easily reaches the critical temperature or higher. Accordingly, an off state can be maintained until the superconducting body is cooled down by a cryogen mixture medium to the critical temperature or lower even after instantaneous voltage becomes zero. As a result, the attachment of a heater for an off operation is unnecessitated, and a wire disconnection trouble can be removed completely.

    • PURPOSE: To enhance durability of a valve by making a valve port in the head wall of a cylinder and supporting a valve disc for opening/closing the valve port selectively on a valve operating member through a resilient body. CONSTITUTION: Exhaust openings 21 are made at two peripheral points in the head wall 2 of a cylinder 1 in the circumferential direction. A valve operating member 22 is interposed between the head wall 2 and a piston 14 such that it can slide in the axial direction along the inner surface of the cylinder 1. A bottomed hole 23 having larger diameter than the exhaust opening 21 is made in the valve operating member 22 oppositely to the exhaust opening 21. A presser 27 is set in the hole 23 while being fitted, to the shaft part 25 thereof, with a valve disc, i.e., a tubular seal pad 28. A coil spring 29 is interposed between the flange part 26 of the presser 27 and the bottom wall of the hole 23 applied with a cover plate 30 having a hole for projecting the seal pad 28.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a maximum freezing capability even under an over-loaded state such as a de-energization state by a method wherein there is provided a valve for use in keeping a pressure at an inlet side of a herium compressor. SOLUTION: This herium liquefying device 7 supplies liquid herium to a herium tank 18 for cooling a super-conductive magnet 20. There are provided a low pressure circuit 1, a herium compressor 3, a high pressure circuit 2 and a cryogenic expanding device 6. The high pressure circuit 2 and the cryogenic expansion device 6 are connected by a high pressure pipe passage L2. The cryogenic expansion device 6 and the low pressure circuit 1 are connected by a low pressure pipe passage L1. The low pressure circuit 1 is connected to a suction port 21 of a herium compressor at an inlet side of the herium compressor 3, and the high pressure circuit 2 is connected to an output side of the herium compressor 3. A second low pressure adjusting valve 13 is arranged between the low pressure circuit 1 and the suction port 21. With such an arrangement as above, either an operating efficiency or a freezing capability of the herium liquefying device can be equal to that of the normal operating state in its maximum values.

    • PURPOSE:To enable a container to be installed in separate from a freezer by a method wherein a first one-way valve capable of opening in only one direction of one opening of a second passage of a condensor is arranged in a first pie and a second one-way valve capable of being opened only in a direction toward a space of the container is arranged in a second pipe. CONSTITUTION:A coolant 23 changed into gaseous state as an item to be cooled is cooled in a former half cycle in a freezer 10 is flowed into a second passage 17 of a condensing part 17 through one-way valve 21 and then condensed with a working gas of low temperature flowing in a first passage 17a. In the latter half cycle, since a temperature of the working gas is higher than that of the former half cycle, both gaseous state and liquid phase are present in a space extending from the one-way valve 21, the second passage 17b of a condensing part 17 and the one-way valve 22, resulting in that its pressure becomes equal to a saturated vapor pressure at the temperature. Therefore, the liquid coolant 23 condensed is increased at its temperature and its pressure is also increased along a curve of saturated vapor pressure. The coolant is pushed up and returned back to a container 20 through one-way valve 22. Accordingly, it is possible to design the container in separate from the freezer.
