    • PURPOSE:To obtain the title resin which can give a molding excellent in recovery from compressive deformation, flexibility, antistatic properties, staining resistance, etc., comprising a copolymer composed of hard segments comprising specified segments and two specified kinds of soft segments as an effective component. CONSTITUTION:A silicone-modified polyester resin is obtained by using a copolymer composed of hard segments comprising crystalline segments mainly consisting of polyester units and both of at least one member selected from the following group (A) and at least one member selected from the following group (B) as an effective component: group (A) consists of a polyalkylene ether glycol and an aliphatic polyester and a group (B) consists of an organosilane containing a group reactive with the above hard segment or with the compound of group (A) and an organopolysiloxane containing this reactive group. The above resin is thermoplastic and can be easily fabricated by injection molding or extrusion molding, and the obtained molding has good elongation set and impact resilience and excellent recovery from compression, staining resistance and antistatic properties.

    • PURPOSE:To produce a metallic sheet capable of easily obtaining various appearances excellent in brightness by furthermore dyeing a synthetic resin layer which has been formed on the surface and is dyeable and has been already colored. CONSTITUTION:When dyeing with dye is excellent in brightness and the monomolecular layer of dye is formed on the surface of a base material, furthermore the appearance is made excellent. As dyeable synthetic resin, e.g., the respective resins such as thermosetting or thermoplastic polyester, polyurethane and polyolefine and the mixture thereof or the copolymers thereof are shown. These resins are selected according to the performance required for a product and necessary dyeing property. Polyisocyanate resin, melamine resin and phenolic resin, etc., can be utilized as a cross-linking agent. When the dyeable synthetic resin is applied with the thermosetting coating and baked, it is baked in the condition milder than the condition wherein coating is completely cured. When it is held in a semi-cured state, dyeing is made good at many times. The synthetic resin layer is semi-cured and immersed in dyeing liquid. In the ensuing heating stage, both fixing of dye and curing of the synthetic resin layer are simultaneously performed.

    • PURPOSE:To form the barrier layer of a thermal color forming recording layer from a barrier coat agent more improved in preservability, water resistance, plasticizer resistance, chemical resistance and office supplies resistance by forming the barrier layer from a modified polymer prepared by performing the graft polymerization of one of a hydrophobic vinyl monomer and a functional group-containing vinyl monomer on an aqueous polyester resin. CONSTITUTION:A thermal color forming layer 2 is provided on a base material 1 by coating and a modified polymer obtained by performing the graft polymerization of a hydrophobic vinyl monomer and/or a functional vinyl monomer on an aqueous polyester resin is applied to the thermal color forming layer as a barrier layer 3 and a protective layer 4 is applied to said barrier layer 3 as an overcoat layer. A resin curing agent and a coating control agent are compounded with the barrier layer if necessary and a fluorane compound is used in the thermal color forming layer 2 as a leuco dye. A polyurethane resin is suitable for the protective layer and, further, paper of every kind is used as the base material 1.
