Carriers of work heads are traversed while repeating these treatments to treat all of the surface. Thus, the efficiency and the safety of the work are improved.

    • PURPOSE:To protect a recording film against the friction and shock of a magnetic head and to allow the stable overwriting of information by laminating an undercoating film, the recording film and a protective film on a disk substrate and providing a resin film subjected to a surface roughening treatment on the protective film. CONSTITUTION:The undercoating film 2, the recording film 3 and the protective film 4 are laminated on the disk substrate 1 to form the magneto-optical disk. For example, an acrylic UV curing resin is applied by spin coating on this film 4 and is irradiated with UV rays by which the coating is cured. The surface is subjected to the surface roughening treatment to form the resin film 5. The magnetic head can fly while the attraction thereof is prevented by adequately adjusting the surface roughness of the film 5. The recording film of the magneto- optical disk is protected against the sliding friction and impact of the magnetic head in this way and the stable overwriting of the information by using the flying magnetic head is executed.

Thus, by providing the metallic magnetic film 8 with a large saturated magnetic flux density, the magnetic flux density to pass through a gap 4 in the same way as an MIG head can be increased, and thus, in a recording medium 5 of the magnetic disk 2, the magnetic flux density necessary for the recording and reproducing of the information can be secured. The metallic magnetic film 8 can be formed by the sputtering method, etc., the magnetic film 8 is brought into contact with the head core 3 composed of ferrite, since it is extended in the surface direction, it does not work as a gap, for this reason, the generation of the pseudo peak can be prevented, and since the tip of the gap is composed of the metallic magnetic body with the large saturated magnetic flux density, the interval (gap length) of the gap can be narrowed and thus, the high density recording can be executed.

CONSTITUTION:A 1st magnetic layer 2 is formed by coating a 1st magnetic coating compd. which contains magnetic powder, thermosetting resin and thermoplastic resin having compatibility with the thermosetting resin and in which the ratio of the content of the thermoplastic resin to the total content thereof exceeds 30wt.% on a substrate 1. The 2nd magnetic layer 3 similar to the layer 2 is formed on the layer 2. The layer 3 is imperfectly cured by heating. The thermoplastic resin is then extracted away by a solvent from the layers 2, 3. The magnetic films of the layers 2, 3 are completely cured. The lubricating oil is then impregnated into the magnetic films. The impregnation rate of the lubricating agent is substantially increased while the mechanical strength of the magnetic films is assured in this way, by which the durability is improved.

As the wear-resistant plastic material, polyamide resins are preferred from the viewpoints of resistance to solvents to be used, mechanical strengths, hardness, etc. According to the method of this invention, a magnetic paint in which the magnetic powder is well dispersed and not broken and no dust formed by wearing is contained can be obtd.
