摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a base isolation device excellent in the horizontal deformation capacity and the restoration property, by providing a plurality of guide grooves with a curvature at the opposite faces of track bases arranged at both upper and lower sides and inserting rollers in the grooves to allow the track bases to horizontally displace the position. SOLUTION: A guide groove 1a with a plurality of recessed curved faces is provided in the opposite faces of the upper and lower track bases 3 constituting a base isolation device between a building and a foundation. Rolling bodies 4 like rollers or balls are put in the guide groove 1a to support the weight of the building. The track base is displaced by even a relatively small horizontal force and further, the supporting load (its own weight) G2 is divided into the normal force G1 and the tangential force G. by which the track base is restored. The track bases 3 are arranged to across at right angles with each other and assemble so as to form a lattice in order to allow them to displace the positions in the two-dimensional direction. In this way, the device can be simplified without use of laminated rubber materials, dampers, etc.

The wheel is disposed between the adjoining inner and outer beams B and C and spanned between the base end parts of the outer and inner beams B and C and driven with the aid of motors 18 and 13. This constitution enables partial opening of film materials D and E.
