摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation device which is horizontally deformable and excellent in the restoration property and facilitate setting and adjusting of the natural period, by superposing three blocks which are provided with curved faces at respective boundary faces and also an anti-frictional material at the curved face layers and interposing these three blocks between the base of a building and the foundation. SOLUTION: Three blocks of upper, intermediate, and lower blocks C, D, E are superposed between a building and the foundation. In this time, the boundary faces of vertically adjacent blocks are formed to have a curved shape. And an anti-frictional material F is charged in the faces. When the building is horizontally deformed, the intermediate block is rotated and the contact face at every block is reduced. And hence, the outside dimensions Lx , Ly , h are designed, taking the safety factor into consideration. The radius curvatures RX, RY of respective blocks are designed to coinside with an objective natural period for the base isolation. The natural period can be made longer by only increase of the radius of curvature of respective blocks. In this way, restoration coil springs are eliminated and hence, the device can be miniaturized.

Thereafter, the reinforcing rods 16 of the lower half part of a floor are arranged to cast concrete 17 in a retaining mold 1.
