摘要： PURPOSE:To shorten the access time of the disk storage device by constituting the device in such a manner that the data related to each other on addresses are simultaneously recorded and reproduced to and from plural corresponding :racks via plural heads. CONSTITUTION:A disk 1 is provided with, for example, three pieces of the heads H1 to H3 by shifting the heads from each other in a diametral direction R by each of the specified number of track pitches on each of the respective surfaces thereof. The tracks T of the number obtd. by multiplying the number of the heads H1 to H3 by the number of the track pitches shifted from each other are defined as zones Z1, 7,2, etc., and the recording and reproducing of the data for :he range where these zones are equally divided are shared with the heads H1 to H3. The recording and reproducing of :he data associated with each other on the addresses to and from the plural tracks T are progressed in parallel in such l manner. As a result, the share in recording and reproducing of the data in the zones is equally allotted to each of the plural heads. The overlap and conflict between the plural heads in recording and reproducing do not arise any more.

摘要： PURPOSE:To protect a file so as not to erase the contents of the file even if a power supply is turned off in error by setting up the memo of a processing signal in a main memory device during the writing of the contents of the file in a disk, and at the time of ending the writing operation, clearing the memo. CONSTITUTION:When a power supply switch is turned off in error during the formation/updating of a document file, an interruption signal (b) is inputted to a word processor body 1 through an AND gate 7A. On the other hand, a prescribed interruption processing routine is started at the time of turning off the power supply switch and a power supply OFF processing program is started. When a memo is set up during the writing of the document file, the OFF processing program decides that the file is being written in a disk and displays the message of the state in an alarm area of a CRT 2 to wait the end of the writing. After writing the file in the disk, the file processing signal is cleared. Consequently, a power supply OFF preparation signal (c) in made effective and a disk control circuit 5 restors an access arm of a disk 6 up to an original point and then turns off the power supply.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve data transfer speed by providing two sets of the access means consisting of an arm and head on a disk and overlapping a seeking motion and the read and write motions of data between the access means. CONSTITUTION:Two sets of the arms 21, 22 having a head on the disk 1 are provided to discriminate whether the zone exists on mutually different cylinder when the data of plural zones are read and written on the disk 1 or not. In case of belonging to different cylinder, the disk controller simultaneously gives the prescribed command like seeking for the nearest cylinder to the arms 21, 22. For instance, the read and write motions are commanded when a seeking motion is completed before by the arm 21 and the succeeding motion is commanded after its completion. The arm 22 performs the same motion as the arm 21 so that the time necessary for the seek is offset by the read and write time. In this way the time loss is reduced and the data transfer speed can be improved.

The center interval of the sensors 5a and 5b is located with an interval equivalent to a integar multiple of 1/2 of the dot interval of the dot bar code equalized to 1.5 pitches of the dot interval of the dot bar code. An output signal of the sensors 5a and 5b is compared at a prescribed level at circuits 6a and 6b, and after being wave-shaped into a logical signal of 0 or 1 corresponding respectively to white and black signal, the signal is applied to a circuit 7, where the signal is synthesized and applied to a pattern recognizing section.
