CONSTITUTION: Concerning the gas leakage alarm provided with a sensor bridge circuit 4, comparator 6 for comparing its output with a prescribed level and outputting a detecting signal, gas detecting signal processing circuit 7 for receiving its output and outputting a gas alarm, sound signal generating circuit 8 for receiving its output and generating a sound signal and sounder 10 for converting the sound signal to a sound, this alarm is equipped with an amplification factor switch amplifier circuit 9 and a one-shot signal generating circuit 11, the output of the amplifier circuit 9, where the output sound signal of the sound signal generating circuit 8 is inputted and this is amplified, is inputted to the sounder 10 and besides, the output of the one-shot signal generating circuit receiving the output of the gas detecting signal processing circuit 7 is inputted to the amplification factor switching circuit of the amplifier circuit 9. Thus, the volume of the sounder 10 are turned to two of low and high levels corresponding to the presence/absence of a one-shot signal.

    • PURPOSE:To confirm whether the optical axes of optical fibers are matched or not at a detection part by alternately projecting first and second flood pulses when the level of a photodetected pulse provided at a photodetection part exceeds a detective level. CONSTITUTION:When the optical axes of optical fibers are matched, the level of the photodetected pulse gets higher than the level to be detected by a comparator 23, and the comparator 23 outputs a pulse. This pulse output is inputted to a detection circuit 24, the pulse output of the comparator 23 at the time of outputting a pulse from an AND gate 16 is validized and when this valid pulse output is applied plural times such as continuously several times, for example, a detecting signal P1 is outputted. Since a pulse output b8 frequency- divided into eight stages is inputted from a frequency divider circuit 12 to one input terminal of an OR gate 42, the pulse output b8 is inputted to an input terminal (a) of a selector circuit 47, and the pulse output of the AND gate 16 with the narrow pulse duration and a pulse output b4 of the frequency divider circuit 12 with the wide pulse duration are alternately selected.

    • PURPOSE:To send the result of self-diagnosis externally in addition to an output as a photoelectric switch through one output transistor(TR) by using a selection circuit so as to switch a detection circuit into a storage circuit while a voltage of a delay circuit restores to a prescribed voltage after power is interrupted tentatively and applied again. CONSTITUTION:When a control power Vcc is applied, a voltage of a capacitor 23 is still low, but one input terminal of an AND circuit 12 of a selection circuit 13 goes to a high level via an inverter 18, the result of diagnosis of a self- diagnosing circuit 8 stored in the storage circuit 12 is outputted from a TR 9 via an AND circuit 20 and an OR circuit 21. When the capacitor 23 is charged and the voltage reaches a prescribed value, an AND circuit 19 is opened and an output of a detection circuit 7 is fed to a base of the TR 9. Thus, the photoelectric switch enters the normal operation. When the control power Vcc is interrupted tentatively and applied again, while the capacitor 23 is charged, the result of diagnosis stored in the storage circuit 12 is outputted from the TR 9.

    • PURPOSE:To check dirt of a lens at the start of a photoelectric switch by reducing a pulse current of a light emitting element by a prescribed time only after application of a control power supply and diagnosing the propriety of the photoelectric switch depending on the output at that time. CONSTITUTION:With a control power supply VCC applied at a time t1, an oscillation circuit 3 is started and a pulse current IP flows to a resistor 4, a light emitting element 6 and a control circuit 11. Since a charging voltage Vc of a capacitor 15 rises gradually according to the CR time constant in this case, a TR 13 is not turned on till the voltage Vc reaches a prescribed value V3 at a time t2 and since the pulse current IP of the light emitting element 5 flows to only a resistor 12, the current is limited by the resistor 12 as shown in the current IP1. When the voltage amplifying a received pulse light of the photodetector 6 by an amplifier 7 does not exceed a prescribed level VL between times t1-t2, the voltage V4 of the comparator 8 is zero and the base voltage V0 of the TR 10 is zero as shown in broken lines, the TR 10 is not turned on and a defect of the photodetection switch is detected.

    • PURPOSE:To detect an object to be detected at a prescribed position independently of the size of the object, the reflectance or a photodetecting area by providing a couple of photodetectors, two differential amplifiers and a comparator and outputting a detection signal when an output obtained by each photodetector reaches a prescribed rate to other output. CONSTITUTION:When both photo diodes 3, 4 receive a reflected light from an object 24, the result is inputted to an inverting input of the differential amplifiers 9, 10 as pulse voltages V1, V2. Further, the voltage V1 is divided by voltage division resistors 11, 12 and the result is fed to a non-inverting input of the differential amplifier 10 as a reference voltage V3. The voltage V2 is divided by voltage division resistors 13, 14, and the result is fed to a non-inverting input of the differential amplifier 9 as the reference voltage V4. Then the differential amplifier 10 amplifies the difference between the reference voltage V3 and a pulse voltage v2 to generate a voltage V5 across a resistor 19. A comparator 20, when the voltage V5 exceeds a prescribed level, generates a photodetection output voltage V6. An integration circuit 22 integrates the photodetection output voltage V6, converts it into a DC output and eliminates noise, and conducts a transistor 23 to output the detection signal of the object 24.
