    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerating plant having a shorter time for frost removing operation, requiring less heat energy for removing frost and slowing the deposition of frost. SOLUTION: A low heat capacity surface portion A and a surface portion B inferior in nature of joint or deposition with frost or ice are dispersed on the heat exchange face of an evaporator for the refrigerating plant. A blower for the evaporator is controlled to be operated during frost removing operation. The surface portion A and the surface portion B have such characteristics that the frost or ice deposited on the surface portion A is melted earlier than the frost or ice deposited on the surface portion B during frost removing operation and the frost or ice deposited on the surface portion B, overlapped at least in part with the frost or ice deposited on the surface portion A, is separated from the surface portion B with its dead weight.
