    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain splitting and cracking from occurring on top and side surfaces of a reinforced concrete beam employing a single bar arrangement structure.SOLUTION: Deformed reinforcing bars 4 are fixed at regular intervals along upper and lower ends of a prefabricated bar unit 3 of a reinforced concrete beam 1. Each of the deformed reinforcing bars 4 is horizontally elongated in the width direction of the reinforced concrete beam 1, and its central part is welded to an upper end or lower end main reinforcement 5a or 6b of the prefabricated bar unit 3. A confirmation test using the actual-size reinforced concrete beam enables the confirmation of the effect of suppressing splitting and cracking on top and side surfaces of the reinforced concrete beam by welding the deformed reinforcing bars 4 to the upper end or lower end main reinforcement 5a or 6b and the effect of improving maximum shear capacity and ultimate deformability.
