    • PURPOSE: To reduce the occurrence of crank bend mode displacement by utilizing the drive force of an auxiliary machine and to reduce the generation of so-called rumbling noise. CONSTITUTION: A gear on the crank side is arranged on the crankshaft of an engine, and a gear on the auxiliary machine side driven by the gear on the crank side is provided. The angle of the direction of a crank bending force on a crankshaft, generated by a force from the piston of the engine, with the central line of a cylinder is θ1 and the second angle of a central line, passing the center of the gear on the crank side and the center of the gear on the auxiliary machine side, with a horizontal line passing through the center of the gear on the crank side is θ2 . The gear on the auxiliary side is engaged with the gear on the crank side so that the first angle θ1 is made approximately equal to the second angle θ2 .
