    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form the guide groove of a plate-form slide valve through integral casting of a carburetor body. SOLUTION: A piston comprises a cylinder part 20 having a diameter smaller than that of an intake passage; plate-form parts 21 (21a and 21b) protruding from a side extending along the slide direction of the cylinder part 20. The cylinder part 20 of the suction piston is guided in a contact state by an insertion hole 31 formed in the upper part of the intake passage. The guide surface 30b in a spot situated downstream of a plate-form part guide groove 30 is formed in parallel to the slide direction of the plate-form parts 21 (21a and 21b) and a gap between the guide surface and the surface 21b in a spot situated downstream of the plate-form parts 21 (21a and 21b) is formed in a manner to be decreased as much as possible. Further, the guide surface 30a in a spot situated upper stream of the plate-form part guide groove 30 is formed in a state that the guide surface makes no contact with the surface 21a situated upper stream of the plate-form parts 21 (21a and 21b) and forms a slope having a draft θinclining in an upper stream direction toward above in the slide direction of the plate-form parts 21 (21a and 21b). A suction piston is formed such that the peripheral surface of the cylinder part 20 and only the surface 21b, situated downstream, of the plate-form parts 21 (21a and 21b) are brought into slide contact with a carburetor body to effect vertical movement and the suction piston effects smooth slide in a cast body.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant vacuum slide throttle valve type carburetor for especially a two wheeler to reduce size and be excellent in suction efficiency and acceleration performance. SOLUTION: An upper cover 4 is coupled to the upper end wall of a carburetor body 6 with a membrane 5 nipped therebetween, and a pressure receiving chamber 2 is partitioned on the upper side of the membrane 5 and an atmosphere chamber 13 on the lower side of the membrane 5. A slide throttle valve 22 elevatably fitted in an opening 17 orthogonally crossing the intake passage 33 of the carburetor body 6 is coupled to the membrane 5. A pressure switch valve driven by a throttle valve control lever 8 is arranged at the slide throttle valve 22. A negative pressure in the intake passage 33 is introduced to the pressure receiving chamber 2 by the pressure switch valve and the opening of the slide throttle valve 22 is controlled. The throttle valve control lever 8 and a support shaft 7 to rotatably support the throttle valve control lever are disposed in the atmosphere chamber 13.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a variable venturi carburetor by reasonably forming its piston valve, shortening its intake passage and reducing the diameter of its diaphragm. SOLUTION: A piston valve 12 is constituted of a platelike valve part 26 adapted to slidably engage with vertical guide grooves 25 formed in both left and right inner walls of a venturi part 3, and a hollow negatiye-pressure induction tube part 27 integrated with the valve part 26 at the center thereof so as to have a square section of which sides are shorter than the inside diameter D of the venturi part 3. At the upper end of the valve part 26 and the negative- pressure induction tube part 27 is arranged a flange 13 comprising a disk part 13a of a diameter (d) shorter than the breadth A of the valve part 26 and an extension part 13b extending from the outer circumference of the disk part 13a to the side edge of the valve part 26 continuously. The disk part 13a and a retainer ring 36 hold the inner circumferential end of a diaphragm 16 therebetween.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the bad driving condition due to excessively low concentricity and excessively high concentricity by reducing the sticking and staying quantity of fuel by introducing the fuel metered at a variable fuel metering section to a portion of the flow of intake air which is scarcely involved in the eddy current generated downstream of a negative pressure control valve and making the fuel flow laying on the flow of the intake air to scatter downstream. SOLUTION: Interior of a main intake air passage 12 formed in a carburetor body 10, a throttle valve 26 is provided downstream of the passage 12 and a negative pressure control valve 28 is provided upper-stream of the passage 12. An auxiliary intake air passage 44 is opened in the main intake air passage 12 at a position upper-stream of the throttle valve 26 and downstream of the negative pressure control valve 28. The fuel metered by the jet needle 42 mounted on the negative pressure control valve 28 and the needle jet mounted on the carburetor body 10 is discharged in the auxiliary intake air passage 44 and is introduced in the main intake air passage 12 from the auxiliary intake air passage.
