    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a down-draft constant vacuum type diaphragm carburetor capable of improving atomization of air-fuel mixture, stability at the time of low speed rotation, controllability of fuel and responsiveness. SOLUTION: An air intake passage 2 passes through a carburetor main body 1 in the vertical direction X-X, a negative pressure working valve 4 crosses the air intake passage 2 in the horizontal direction, a venturi part V is formed of a bottom part 4A of the same valve and the air intake passage 2, and an opening area of the same part is decided as the negative pressure working valve works in accordance with negative pressure of the venturi part V. A jet needle 13 is projected in the horizontal direction Y-Y from a bottom part of the negative pressure working valve 4 and it is inserted into a needle jet 15. A diaphragm 19 is arranged below a longitudinal shaft center line Z-Z of the jet needle 13 and roughly in parallel along the same line. A regulator chamber 20 is formed of the diaphragm 19 and a recessed part 1D of the carburetor main body 1, and the regulator chamber 20 is formed below the longitudinal shaft center line Z-Z and in parallel along this line. A main fuel jet 28 to open in the regulator chamber supplies main fuel toward the needle jet.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve intake air efficiency by forming of a synthetic resin material, a guide block equipped with a venturi forming part guide hole, a platelike guide groove, and an intake air pass hole, and fitting and arranging the guide block in the guide block fitting hole of a carburetor main body so that the deformation of the hole and the shape of the groove are suppressed. SOLUTION: In a sliding valve type carburetor in which a sliding valve is slidably arranged in the guide groove 5 of a guide block G fitted to a guide block fitting hole 22 which is concavely arranged in a carburetor main body 20, a venturi forming part guide hole 4 is formed in the guide block G formed of a synthetic resin material. A platelike guide groove 5 which is faced from the venturi forming part guide hole 4 to a side direction is formed in the carburetor main body 20, and an intake air pass hole 6 is formed between one outside surface 10A of the guide groove 5 and the other outside surface 10B thereof. This guide block G is fitted to the inside of a guide block fitting hole 22, and also locking parts 11, 12 formed to the guide block G are assembled by being engaged with locked parts 23, 24 formed in the carburetor main body 20.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a down-draft sliding valve type diaphragm carburetor attempted to improve stability of the number of rotations at low speed, fuel controllability and fuel responsiveness and miniaturized. SOLUTION: An air intake passage 2 passes through a carburetor main body 1 in the vertical direction X-X, and a sliding valve 4 crosses the air intake passage 2 in the horizontal direction. A throttle valve 9 arranged in an air intake passage 2A in the downstream of the sliding valve 4 and the sliding valve 4 are connected to each other through a connecting mechanism. A jet needle 15 is projected in the horizontal direction Y-Y from a bottom part 4A of the sliding valve 4 and it is inserted into a needle jet 17. A diaphragm 21 is arranged below a longitudinal shaft center line Z-Z of the jet needle 15 and roughly in parallel along the line Z-Z. A regulator chamber 22 is formed of the diaphragm 21 and a recessed part 1B of the carburetor main body 1, and this regulator chamber 22 is formed below the longitudinal shaft center line Z-Z of the jet needle 15 and in parallel along the longitudinal shaft center line Z-Z. A main fuel jet 30 to open in the regulator chamber 22 supplies main fuel toward the needle jet 17.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deformation of a venturi forming part guide hole, a plate type guide groove and an air intake passage hole formed on a guide block at the time of forming the guide block of a synthetic resin material and fitting it in a guide block fitting hole of a carburetor main body. SOLUTION: A guide block G is formed of a synthetic resin material and is furnished with a venturi forming part guide hole 4, a plate part guide groove and an air intake passage hole 6. A first engagement part 11 orthogonal with a longitudinal groove with direction Y-Y of the plate part guide groove 5 is provided on one side outside surface 7A of an upper end part 7 of the guide block G facing the venturi forming part guide hole 4 and the plate part guide groove 5 and the other side outside surface 7B, and a second engagement part 12 is provided on a groove bottom part 5A of the plate part guide groove 5. The guide block G is fit in a guide block fitting hole 24, and the first engagement part 11 and the second engagement part 12 formed on the guide block G are inserted and arranged into a first engaged part 25 and a second engaged part formed on a carburetor main body corresponding to them.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply fuel whose pressure is raised to an appropriate fuel pressure to the valve seat of each diaphragm type carburetor composing multiple structure by improving the degree of designing freedom for a fuel piping and also separating air included in fuel. SOLUTION: Return jets 17 are arranged in fuel passages 14 opened to respective carburetors, and the fuel passages 14 are divided by the return jets 17 into upstream fuel passages 14A continued to valve seats 15 and downstream fuel passages 14B. A main fuel inflow passage 20 continued to a fuel tank is opened to the upstream fuel passage 14A of a first carburetor, and a fuel return passage 21 continued to the fuel tank is opened to the downstream fuel passage 14B thereof. The upstream fuel passages 14A of the remaining carburetors C2... are connected to the upstream fuel passage 14A of the first carburetor C1 through an auxiliary fuel inflow passage 22. The downstream fuel passages 14B of the remaining carburetors C2... are connected to the downstream fuel passage 14B of the first carburetor C1 through an auxiliary fuel return passage 23.
