    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for producing a biogas such as methane by anaerobic digestion of a biodegradable raw material. SOLUTION: A slurry flog composed of non-polluted water and a non-toxic biodegradable raw material containing ≥10% biodegradable solid wherein ≥95% of the solid is convertible into gasses is introduced into a high-temperature anaerobic digester at a high temperature. The digester contains an active anaerobic digestion microorganism group composed of hydrolytic fermentation microorganisms and methane-producing microorganisms suspended in a fluid. The biodegradable raw material is selected from a group composed of glucose, etc., and their mixture. The mixture in the high-temperature anaerobic digester is anaerobically digested at a high temperature and the produced biogas is taken out of the digester. A part of the mixture is transferred from the high- temperature digester to a methane-producing digester at a methane-producing reaction temperature. The digester contains the active anaerobic digestion group of the forming microorganisms, the mixture in the methane-producing anaerobic digester is anaerobically digested at the methane-producing reaction temperature and the generated biogas is taken out of the digester.     • PURPOSE:To accurately charge nutritive sources and oxygen by controlling the volume of a culture medium so as to maintain the concentration of dissolved oxygen in the medium at a predetermined value and exchanging the medium with a new medium in a volume proportional to the amount of the dissolved oxygen consumed in a bioreactor by the operations of a charging pump and a discharging pump. CONSTITUTION:A culture device is provided with a dissolved oxygen detector for measuring the amount of the dissolved oxygen in a medium discharged from a bioreactor 1, a new medium bottle 71, a charging pump 7 for charging a new medium from the bottle 71 into a medium reservoir 2, a pump 8 for discharging the medium from the reservoir, and a controller for controlling the operations of the pumps. The controller controls the operation of a circulation pump 3 so as to control the concentration of the dissolved oxygen detected with the detector and simultaneously controls the operations of a charging pump and a discharging pump so as to exchange the medium with the new medium in a volume proportional to the amount of the dissolved oxygen consumed in the bioreactor.
