    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-icing/de-icing system and a method using ultrasonic waves for an external surface of a structure likely to be iced, such as an aircraft wing or engine nacelle, and such a structure incorporating this system.
      SOLUTION: The system comprises a plurality of piezoelectric transducers 10 with which the structure is fitted, opposite this external surface, and this system is such that it comprises means of scanning at least one matrix 16 of elementary meshes (i, j) predefined in this surface in relation to an even arrangement of a group of these transducers. These scanning means are able to focus the waves emitted by all or some of the transducers of the or each group on these meshes one after the other, via signal summing means coupled to these scanning means and able to produce, for each mesh, a summation of the signals obtained from the transducers emitting these waves.

    • PURPOSE: To provide a discharging device and a discharging method separating a solid and fragile material such as ice from the low-voltage electric discharging device and having a long operating life by providing at least two separable electric conductor devices having a stationary state and an excited state and surrounded in a blanket. CONSTITUTION: This discharge type separator 11 has a blanket 12 made of a thermoplastic material which surrounds slender ribbon-shaped conductor devices 13, 14. The conductor devices 13, 14 include a ribbon section 16 having an intermediate space 17, and the top conductor device 13 is aligned with the bottom conductor device 14. A spot electric connecting connector 22 is formed at a tab section 21 to make an electric connection between the top conductor device 13 and the bottom conductor device 14. A positive lead wire 23 is connected to the top conductor device 13, and a negative lead wire 24 is connected to the bottom conductor device 14. The conductor devices 13, 14 take a separating action according to the prescribed pattern in response to the repulsion generated by the magnetic field.
