    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a structure capable of stably holding an inner column, on the inner diameter side of an outer column.SOLUTION: The outer column 13d and a movable side bracket 22b are molded by integrally swelling by a hydroforming construction method. Respective protrusion parts 23a and 23a for constituting a support part 26 of the outer column 13d and an outer peripheral surface of the inner column 14c are allowed to abut only in three places in the circumferential direction. Long holes 31 (31a) long in the axial direction are arranged in an intermediate part in the width direction of a bottom part 29 of the movable side bracket 22b. A pair of slits 33 and 33 are also formed in two-place positions for sandwiching the long holes in the circumferential direction.
