    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial visual device for converting video information to an audible acoustic wave, an artificial acoustic device for converting voice information to color information for acoustic sensor and a waveform conversion algorithm having high information transmission efficiency based upon artificial intelligent reasoning in order to meet the need of a converter used by another sensory nerve instead of visual information as an auxiliary instrument for a visually handicapped person.
      SOLUTION: According to this waveform conversion algorithm for mutually converting two or more colors to an audible sound waveform, color components are converted/output to a waveform with a high-pass frequency to be audible (20 kHz or less), the conversion/output is continuously processed using the frequency for musical interval (16-1.6 kHz) corresponding to the two or more colors, and transition is caused using the middle frequency band not to overlap the low-pass and high-pass frequency bands, and further the above continuous processing is repeated using the low-pass frequency band of 4-23 Hz for update spacing. This device uses the above algorithm.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a taxi call system which enables even a person who is hearing-impaired, without speech or hard of hearing to call a taxi with telephone and a telephone set used for the system.
      SOLUTION: Disclosed is the taxi call system characterized in that: (1) a slave device 1 is installed at a proper place and automatically connected to a master telephone set of a taxi company when a customer presses a call button 2; (2) the master telephone set identifies the arrangement place of the slave device 1 and makes answer display indicating that the call from the slave device 1 is confirmed on the display 3 of the slave device 1; (3) the slave device 1 and master telephone set mutually confirm the display of predetermined contents through button operations, and the customer presses an OK button 4 when satisfied the display contents to send an OK signal to the master telephone set; (4) an operator of the taxi company sends a message of allocation of a taxi to the slave device 1 to display it on the display 3; and (5) the customer quits the communication by pressing a NO button 5 when conditions that the company displays are not acceptable.
