    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such configuration as requires no resetting of a server even if terminal configuration of a network changes, relating to a terminal for a network system of ship equipment.
      SOLUTION: Terminals 11-13 connected to a network system can be switched over between a state acting as a server and a state acting as a client. The terminals 11-13 comprise a terminal information registering part 26 and a comparison information storing part 25. In the terminal information registering part 26, the information about the terminal connected to the network and the information about whether the terminal is functioning as a server or as a client, are stored. In the comparison information storing part 25, comparison information that is used when selecting a server terminal is stored. Selecting of a server terminal from among the plurality of terminals 11-13 is performed by comparing the comparison information about the terminals stored in the comparison information storing part 25 through communication between terminals, for selecting a terminal with highest priority.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote copy storage apparatus system and a remote copying method which prevent a communication path from being overloaded and avoid the throughput of job processing in a center computer from being decreased. SOLUTION: The center computer 10 performs a plurality of job processes, writes the result to a center storage apparatus 20, and remotely copies the same data to a plurality of remote storage apparatuses 30a, 30b. The center computer 10 acquires a load of communication paths 5, 6 via load measurement sections 14, 14a, 14b, 14c and stops the performance of part of the job processes associated with transmission of copy data via the communication path whose load exceeds a prescribed threshold value. When the center storage apparatus 20 and the remote storage apparatuses 30a, 30b switches the transmission paths of the copy data to other paths, the center computer 10 restarts remote copy by restarting performance of the job process having been stopped before.
