    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminate type diffractive optical element wherein a chromatic aberration caused by diffraction is reduced while imparting a strong power to the laminate type diffractive optical element. SOLUTION: The laminate type diffractive optical element is composed by laminating a plurality of diffraction gratings. In the laminate type diffractive optical element, reflective films for reflecting only light of predetermined wavelength bands different from each other are formed on the grating surfaces 11 and 12 of the diffraction gratings, and the reflective films are disposed among the same translucent media 21, 22 and 23. The grating surfaces of the diffraction gratings have mutually different forms in accordance with the predetermined wavelength bands corresponding to the reflective films formed thereon.
