    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic binoculars which include eyepiece display elements of a rectangular shape, such as LCDs, in eyepiece sections and which level optical images without complication of mechanisms in carrying out the adjustment of the width between the eyes by rotationally moving the eyepiece sections around the axes parallel to their optical axes.
      SOLUTION: Display areas 34R and 34L where the optical images of an object to be observed are displayed are made smaller than the effective display areas of the display elements 33R and 33L. The display areas 34R and 34L are made movable within the range of the effective display areas of the display elements 33R and 33L. The binoculars are provided with means for leveling the inclined display areas 34R and 34L i.e. leveling the optical images.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic binoculars capable of recording the optical image of an object to be observed and more reducing power consumption than when using ordinary electronic binoculars while applying the merit of the electronic binoculars advantageous to night vision.
      SOLUTION: The electronic binoculars are equipped with a power source 90, both imaging parts 10R and 10L having both imaging devices 13R and 13L picking up the optical image of the object to be observed and converting the optical image to an electrical signal, both eyepiece parts 30R and 30L having both display elements 33R and 33L displaying the optical image of the object to be observed based on the electrical signal, both image signal generation parts 50R and 50L converting the electrical signal to an image signal to be observed by the eyepiece parts 30R and 30L, and a control part 70 controlling the feed of the imaging parts 10R and 10L, the eyepiece parts 30R and 30L and the generation parts 50R and 50L, and supplying the image signal from the generation parts 50R and 50L to the eyepiece parts 30R and 30L. Furthermore, the electronic binoculars are equipped with a switch part 80 having a switch contact for selecting a part to which power is fed.
