    • PURPOSE:To prevent abrasion at the thrust support portion by disposing a pressure regulating valve for generating pressure according to the magnitude of thrust, and imposing the generated pressure on a power transmission shaft against the thrust. CONSTITUTION:A sleeve 8 is fitted to the center of a shaft end portion 1a, and a pressure regulating line groove 9 is formed in a space with a shoulder portion 1b. A constant pressure port 12 extending to a supply line groove 11a is formed on a spool 11, and constant pressure Pc is always supplied to the port 12. A pressure chamber 13 is connected to the pressure regulating line groove 9 by a vertical groove 8a of a sleeve 8, and a regulated pressure take-out port 14 is formed on a case 4 in such a manner as to be open to a pressure chamber 13, whereby the regulated pressure Ps generated in the pressure chamber 13 can be obtained from the port 14. This arrangement can prevent abrasion at a thrust support portion.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compensate axial thrust with respect to a turbo expander which is automatically adjustable and automatically meets an operation condition of various turbo expanders. SOLUTION: This turbo machine comprises: a measuring device 7 for directly detecting a thrust force of a rotor shaft 2 supported inside a rolling bearing 8; and at least two pressure control valves controlled by a controller 9 in a control conduit. A rotor piston surface 14 in any one back surface of a rotor disc 5 and 3, closed with respect to a case 1 via the control conduit, is capable of operating pressure which performs control in inlet and outlet of a stage, and the controller 9 operates the pressure control valves depending on the measured thrust force in order to eliminate the thrust force arranged outside a predetermine allowance range by pressure increase or pressure decrease in the rotor piston surface.
