    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively use an exhaust gas component by occluding NOx , SOx and NH3 in an exhaust gas, extracting and converting them into a fertilizer component. SOLUTION: An exhaust gas component containing at least one of NOx , SOx and NH3 is occluded in an occluding material. Then, after the exhaust gas component reaches a fixed occlusion amount, the exhaust gas component is extracted from the occluding material and separated. The separated exhaust gas component is converted to a fertilizer component. An exhaust gas utilizing apparatus used has an occluding means, an extracting means and a converting means for the exhaust gas component and is equipped with a regenerating means for generating the occluding material after the extraction of the exhaust gas component. An alkali metal oxide, an alkaline earth metal oxide, activated carbon, zeolite, etc., may be used as the occluding material. The alkali metal oxide, etc., may be supported on a conventional exhaust gas cleaning catalyst and used. The exhaust gas cleaning catalyst is not particularly limited and is obtained by supporting a noble metal such as platinum or palladium on a porous carrier such as alumina or silica.
