    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent execution of tub drying operation while laundry remains in a tub when the tub drying operation is set to be executed after the washing operation.
      SOLUTION: When an automatic tub drying function is set in the washing operation, after executing the washing operation (Step S6), a control circuit detects opening/closing of a lid and detects the operation of a start key (S8-S11). After that, the control circuit detects the presence of the laundry inside the tub by detecting the weight (S13 and S14). When the result of the detection suggests that the laundry is not present, the tub drying operation is executed. When the result of the detection suggests that the laundry is present, after displaying the message that the laundry is present, opening/closing of the lid is detected again (S19-S21). In this way, the tub drying operation with the laundry remaining inside the tub can be prevented.
