    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a linear motor drive carrying vehicle, capable of altering the route of the vehicle without providing an apparatus for switching the route of the vehicle at a traveling route side of the vehicle. SOLUTION: In this carrying vehicle 1, a luggage carrier 3 is supported by a pair of front and rear bogie trucks 2, having a pair of right and left travel wheels 4, and the trucks 2 are coupled to the carrier 3 via rotary joints 5. Primary side movable elements 10 of a linear induction motor are installed on the lower surface of the each truck 2. The elements 10 are directed in the direction for giving thrust force in the direction for coupling winding direction of a coil directly to the axles of the trucks 2 to the elements 10. Electromagnetic brakes 15 are respectively provided at the wheels 4 of the trucks 2. The brakes 15 are electrically connected to a controller 16 provided with the lower surface of the barrier 3 and are independently drivable (braked). The controller 16 drives the brake 15, equipped at a branch side in the case of changing the advancing route by a branch unit 12.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the yarn break and the abnormality of a power-supplying part to a motor in a spinning machine having each spindle independently driven by the motor installed for each of the spindles. SOLUTION: An electric current value at the input side of an inverter installed for each spindle is measured by a currant sensor to control the drive of a spindle motor. A judging circuit judges the presence or absence of yarn break and abnormality of a power-supplying part by comparing the measured current value with threshold Iα. The measured value of the current by the current sensor when the spindle motor is normally rotated in the state in which an empty bobbin is attached to the spindle is used as the threshold Iα. The judging circuit judges that the state is the yarn break state when the measured current shows a constant value not less than the threshold Iα and the value continues for a prescribed time, and that the state is the abnormality of the power-supplying part when the value is a prescribed constant value less than the threshold Iα and continues for a prescribed time. The judging circuit distinguishes the abnormality of the power-supplying part into the partial abnormality of a phase wiring in the inverter, and the abnormality without the phase wiring in the inverter.
