    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid complication of the constitution of a washing machine and insufficient dispersion of ozone when sterilizing inside the washing machine with ozone. SOLUTION: An ozone generating device 16 provided in an upper cover 1a is formed by providing an ozone generator 21, a high-voltage generating device 22, an air supplying device 23, a heater 24, a temperature sensor 25 for ozone generating chamber in a case 17. The ozone generator 21 is formed by providing an electrode 26 on a ceramics board 26, and providing an electrode having an opposite pole in relation to the electrode 27 inside of the board 26. When high voltage is applied between both the electrodes by the high-voltage generating device 22, a creeping discharge is generated so as to generate ozone, and this ozone in the gas condition is supplied between a rotary tub 4 and a water receiver tub 2 through an ozone discharge part 20 by the air supplying device 23.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply a user with comfortable air without requiring long time operation by providing an air cleaner for sucking indoor air and removing dust therefrom before being blown into a room with a mechanism for blowing the air locally to the vicinity of the head part of a human body. SOLUTION: An air cleaner has an air inlet 2 in the front face of the body 1 and incorporates a filter for removing dust corresponding to the air inlet 2. Air is sucked through the air inlet 2 by operating a fan disposed on the inside of the filter and dust-free air is blown out from an air outlet 5. The air outlet 5 is provided with an air guide 6 which guides the clean air discharged upward from the air outlet 5 sideways thus supplying the clean air locally to the vicinity of the head part of a person present in a room. According to the arrangement, comfortable air can be supplied to a user without increasing the size of a fan, a motor or the air volume.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a deodorizing medium to exhibit its lively activity even during wintertime by arranging a microbial deodorizing tank to which heat generated at a garbage treating tank at the time of treating garbage is supplied, adjacent to the garbage treating tank with a loading aperture. SOLUTION: A microbial deodorizing tank 5 is disposed side by side with a garbage treating tank 1 equipped with a garbage loading aperture 13 on the top in such a manner that the wall faces of both tanks 1, 5 come into contact with each other. Heat generated in the garbage treating tank 1 at the time of treating garbage is conducted to the interior of the microbial deodorizing tank 5 through the wall faces. In addition, in the microbiale deodorizing tank 5, partitioning shelves 63 equipped with a ventilating hole 61 which allows the vertical passage of an air by a means such as a mesh-type shelf net or a frame, are installed, and a deodorizing medium is placed on these partitioning shelves 63. The deodorizing medium is packed in a corrosion-inhibitive net-like bag made of a material such as polypropylene and is kept in a wet state required for deodorizing by a water sprinkler 59. Thus it is possible to expect a lively activity of the deodorizing medium even during wintertime.
