摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage treatment device which has a comparatively simple, small-sized agitator structure and yet, has good agitation efficiency with respect to a received material in a treatment vessel. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a vertical shaft type agitator 11 which is placed inside a treatment vessel 2 at its bottom and rotatable by a motor 13 and has first, second and third agitation blades 24, 25 and 26 that are radially arranged, wherein when the agitator 11 is rotated, a received material 28 containing a base material 27 and kitchen waste, both received in the treatment vessel 2, is subjected to upward and downward convectional movement so as to whirlingly and three-dimensionally agitate the received material 28. Thus, this agitator 11 has a simpler structure and a smaller size and also is capable of exhibiting better agitation efficiency, as compared with a conventional vertical shaft type agitator.

When high voltage is applied between both the electrodes by the high-voltage generating device 22, a creeping discharge is generated so as to generate ozone, and this ozone in the gas condition is supplied between a rotary tub 4 and a water receiver tub 2 through an ozone discharge part 20 by the air supplying device 23.

By immobilizing the photocatalyst particle 2 in the ultraviolet ray transmissive medium 3 in such as manner and in the case a material such as quartz glass transparent to ultraviolet rays is used as the substrate 1, ultraviolet rays are not absorbed by the substrate 1 and the ultraviolet ray transmissive medium 3 and efficiently reach the photocatalyst particle 2 even if ultraviolet rays are radiated from the substrate 1 side and consequently, high deodorization performance is carried out.

Further, the photocatalyst has an antifouling and a sterilization antibacterial function in addition to a deodorizing function.

In addition, in the microbiale deodorizing tank 5, partitioning shelves 63 equipped with a ventilating hole 61 which allows the vertical passage of an air by a means such as a mesh-type shelf net or a frame, are installed, and a deodorizing medium is placed on these partitioning shelves 63. The deodorizing medium is packed in a corrosion-inhibitive net-like bag made of a material such as polypropylene and is kept in a wet state required for deodorizing by a water sprinkler 59. Thus it is possible to expect a lively activity of the deodorizing medium even during wintertime.
