    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a conductive blade that works well in an electrophotographic process by forming a tapered surface on the tip part side of a rubber blade main body and having a head part of a pointed part accompanying forming of the tapered surface constituted from a continuous curve that does not expand outside a cutting angle of the tapered surface. SOLUTION: This conductive blade for transferring is utilized to transfer a toner image on a photoreceptor to a recording material on the electrophotographic process. The tapered surface 11 is formed on the tip of the rubber blade main body 10 and the head part of the pointed part generated with forming of the tapered surface is a continuous curve that does not expand outside a cutting angle of the tapered surface. One definite standard in order to satisfy such state of the tapered surface is that the head part of the pointed part is not expanded outside a line C connecting a cutting starting point A of the tapered surface 11 and central point in thickness B of the blade main body 10 in the tapered surface 11.

    • PURPOSE:To provide the electrostatic charging roll capable of maintaining a smooth surface, lowering the vibration noise by the AC component of an electric field when the roll is brought into pressurized contact with a photosensitive body and forming a stable nip by providing a conductive elastic material layer which is not a foam on the outer periphery of a foam layer. CONSTITUTION:The foam layer 14 consisting of a conductive foam is provided on the outer periphery of a shaft body (arbor) 12 and the conductive elastic material layer 16 is provided on the outer periphery thereof, by which a base layer is formed. The outer periphery of the base layer is coated with a resistance control layer 18 and a protective layer 20 in this order. Conductive rubber compsns. and conductive thermoplastic elastomers formed by incorporating conductive powders and conductive fibers, such as metallic powder, carbon black and carbon fibers, into various kinds of rubber compsns. and thermoplastic elastomers are optimum as the material for forming the conductive elastic material layer 16. The thickness of the conductive elastic material layer 16 is preferably specified to 100 to 1200mum.

    • PURPOSE:To easily obtain high dimensional accuracy and to maintain initial performance over a long period of time by extending a pressure contact member having an approximately circular section to the other end of a planar base material. CONSTITUTION:Mounting holes 9 for positioning are provided on a supporting holder 5. The planar base material 8 is also bored with mounting holes 10 for positioning corresponding thereto. These materials are superposed on each other and are imposed in this state on a forming mold erected with projecting parts for positioning. An elastic molding material for forming the pressure contact member is cast in this state to form the pressure contact member 6 having the circular section on the front end side of the planar base material 8. The front and rear surfaces of the planar base material 8 in such a case are thinly coated with the molding material for forming the pressure contact member and are thereby protected. Coating of only either the front or rear surface of the planar base material 8 or the partial coating of the front and rear surfaces is executed in such a case. The initial performance is thereby exhibited and the generation of unequal wear, etc., is obviated even if any part of the pressure contact member 6 having approximately the circular section comes into contact with a developing roll.
