    • PURPOSE:To obtain a reaction plate for a linear motor which is light, inexpensive and capable of minimizing an installation space by forming the overhang section of a secondary conductor portion so that it may extend downwards along the hat type frame. CONSTITUTION:A hat type frame 4 is provided under a linear motor 9. The secondary iron core section 8 is provided on the internal surface of inside the hat type frame 4. On the upper surface outside the hat type frame 4 the secondary conductor section 5 is provided. Both ends of the secondary conductor section 5 extend downwards along the hat type frame 4. This secondary conductor section 5 is nearly as wide as the primary iron core section of the linear motor 9 and the side face section of the secondary conductor portion 5 extending downwards forms the overhang section C. Consequently, as it can have its width ore smaller than the conventional type, the reaction plate can be made light and compact.

    • PURPOSE:To strengthen a container made of FRP for storing super low temp. refrigerant such as liquid helium or the like, by fabricating its cylindrical part and end plate part separately and limiting the difference between axial thermal expansion coefficients of both members on the coupled portion within a specific value. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical part 1 and an end plate part 2 are made separately. From the view points of formability and physical property, the cylindrical part 1 is made of FRP made by winding one directional long fiber, and the end plate part 2 is made of FRP made by laminating such a material as obtained by properly arranging to a textile like product or to one directional long fiber. In order to decrease the difference between thermal expansion coefficients in a laminated surface and a laminated direction, a cylindrical portion continuing to an end plate is formed on the end plate part 2, and the cylindrical part 1 and the cylindrical portion of the end plate part 2 are coupled and fitted to each other to arrange the cylindrical portion to the outside and the cylindrical part 1 to the inside. Then, the axial tensile shearing stress is restrained by making the difference between axial thermal expansion coefficients of the inner cylinder side and the outer cylinder side within 20X10 / deg.C. With regard to the radial tensile force, the above condition can be satisfied, if the thermal expansion coefficient of the outer cylinder side is larger, even if it is made of a material with different properties.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a periodic magnetic field which does not have variation by providing rectangular magnetic poles in two arrays on both side parts of an iron core in the length direction of the iron core and setting two electromagnets, which are wound with coils, opposite each other. CONSTITUTION:In the center of magnets 2 of one electromagnet 10, magnetic poles 2' of the other electromagnet 10' are positioned, and two electromagnets 10 and 10' are combined so that gaps G between the magnetic poles 2 and 2' are arranged on one straight line. Then the respective magnetic poles 2 and 2' are magnetized so that the respective magnetic poles 2' of the electromagnet 10 are magnetized into the N polarity, and then the electromagnet 10 produces lines of magnetic force traveling to this side in the figure in the gap G and the other electromagnet 10' produces lines of magnetic force in the opposite direction from said lines of the magnetic force lines. Therefore, the periodic magnetic field having no variance is obtained unless the magnetic poles 2 and 2' have deviation in neither shape nor fitting position.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify the assembly operation of a support structure and to enhance it in heat insulating effect by a method wherein a fitting seat is provided on a cryogenic member side, and the fitting seat and a support are formed of materials different from each other in thermal expansion coefficient and fitted together, and the fitted part is put in a tight fit state by the thermal shrinkage difference between the materials concerned at the operating temperature of the cryogenic member. CONSTITUTION:In a support structure that a cryogenic member 1 is supported by a normal temperature member 2 through the intermediary of a support 6, a mounting seat 5 to which the support 6 is connected by fitting is provided to the cryogenic member 1, where the mounting seat 5 and the support 6 are formed of materials different from each other in thermal expansion coefficient and the fitted parts of them are put in a tight fit state by the thermal shrinkage difference between them at the operating temperature of the cryogenic member 1. For instance, a mounting seat 7 to which the support 6 is connected by fitting is also provided to the normal temperature member 2, and the support 6 is outside fitted to a cylindrical part 7a of the mounting seat 7 on a normal temperature member 2 side and inside fitted to a cylindrical part 5a of the mounting seat 5 on a cryogenic member 1 side. The above mounting seats 5 and 7 are formed of stainless steel, and the support 6 is formed of carbon fiber reinforced plastic and is made nearly zero in thermal expansion coefficient.
