    • PURPOSE: To eliminate irregular sludge discharge works or loss of molten metal changed into products by a method wherein a working vehicle is advanced to a specified position in front of a furnace, a sludge removing arm is aligned with a height of furnace port, thereafter the arm is repeated in its predetermined operation pattern in accordance with a predetermined program. CONSTITUTION: In order that a sludge discharge operation is carried out by a working vehicle, pushing-out arms 12, 13 are set to be the shortest state, a slant cylinder 10 is operated to have a horizontal state, the vehicle is stopped at a predetermined position in front of a furnace under a state in which the arms are placed at the lowest position by a lift cylinder 9. The arms are fixed and stabilized with a jack cylinder 4. Arms are lifted up and retracted manually and their position set is completed in compliance with the height of the furnace port. The arms are once retracted to their shortest lengths and a push button of 'AUTO MATIC START' is depressed, resulting in that the arm 13 may repeat motion patterns of moving forward→descending → retracting → slant ascending → retracting → discharging →advancing by a desired number of times with a scraper 14 being fixed at the extremity end of the arm and then its operation is completed. Speeds in ascending and retracting operations of the scraper 14 are adjusted in response to a slant angle of a furnace wall at the furnace port and then sludge of dross can be removed in compliance with a slant angle at the furnace port.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the embedding density of heat mediums and save the energy by constituting a snow melting floor by a cement hardened body having a tubular or rope-like heat medium embedded therein, and laying a metallic mesh body extended laterally so as to enclose the heat medium. SOLUTION: This snow melting floor has a floor structure in which a metallic mesh body 3 is embedded in a cement hardened material, so that the heat flow from a heat medium 2 is laterally transmitted through the metallic mesh body 3 and primarily dispersed. Further, since secondary dispersion is caused in the cement hardened body to transfer the heat through two heat flow bulkheads, the heat flow is dispersed to a position distant from a heating source for heating, so that the heating floor area can be extended. As the metallic mesh body 3, an alloy containing 0.3-4.3wt.% of Mn, as occasion demands, 0.05-6.0wt.% of Mg, and the remainder of Al and impurities, and having a tissue in which Al-Mn intermetallic compound precipitate with a grain size of 0.01-0.3μm is dispersed is used, and an anodic oxide film is formed on the surface. Thus, the heating floor area can be extended, the heat medium 2 can be stably held with a lowered embedding density, and the foundation work can be simplified.
