    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method and a kit for evaluating a sensitive skin, which can simply and surely evaluate whether or not a skin is sensitive, by using a biochemical index.
      SOLUTION: The existential amount of calprotectin in a horny cell derived from the sensitive skin has been found significantly higher than that derived from a healthy skin. The horny cell used therefor can be extracted by a simple method called tape stripping which extracts only a surface layer of a superficial skin. Moreover, the existential amount of calprotectin in the horny cell can be measured without applying any stimulus such as ultraviolet rays, chemicals or the like. Therefore, the sensitive skin can be evaluated simply by using the calprotectin in the horny cell as the index.
