摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas water heater in which rise time of hot water temperature is made relatively shorter without using a return pipe. SOLUTION: This water heater 1 intermittently ignites a gas burner 21 even if a passing flow quantity detected by a flow sensor 24 is a predetermined value or less. The timing for igniting the gas burner 21 is determined based on the hot water temperature near the outlet of a heat exchanger 22 detected by a heating temperature sensor 25 and hot-water feed temperature set at a temperature setting part 32 provided in a remote control device 30. By this operation, even if no water is fed to the water heater 1, the temperature of hot water in the heat exchanger 22 is kept at a relatively high temperature so that if hot water is delivered from the apparatus 1, hot water of a predetermined temperature can be supplied without delay.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inspect airtightness conveniently and reliably by determining the airtightness based on the flow rate of gas being fed into an exhaust duct at a moment of time when the detected pressure in the exhaust duct reaches a set level. SOLUTION: Pressurized air is fed into an exhaust duct 1 under a state where the inlet 11 and outlet 12 of duct 1 are closed hermetically. Consequently, pressure in the duct 1 increases and detected along with the flow rate of pressurized air. When the detected pressure in the duct 1 reaches a set level, a decision is made whether the flow rate of pressurized air is higher than a set value. A decision is made that the leakage from the duct 1 exceeds a specified level and the airtightness of duct 1 is not acceptable if the flow rate of pressurized air is higher than the set value, otherwise the airtiqhtness of duct 1 is acceptable.

Therefore, a detected water volume by a first water volume detection sensor S1 exceeds a preset flow rate by water circulation while a burner 1 is turned into combustion state by a first controller C1 so that the circulation water may be heated by a water heat B. When a detection temperature by a temperature detection sensor S3 exceeds a lower temperature side preset value, the pump P is switched over into a small flow rate state by a water transmission volume changing means as instructed from a second decision means and an electric heater H is turned into an operation state as well.
