    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding wire and a welding method which can suppress weld defects such as blowholes caused by zinc-based alloy plating and also can suppress liquid metal embrittlement crack in weld metal and a heat-affected zone of steel.
      SOLUTION: This arc welding flux cored wire superior in liquid metal embrittlement crack resistance is constituted by filling flux in a steel jacket and is used for arc-welding of a Zn-based alloy plated steel plate which is treated on the surface with a Zn-based alloy plating containing one or more of Si, Al and Mg and satisfying [Zn]+1.5×[Al]+[Mg]≥30g/m
      2 . In the total mass of the wire, it contains in mass % 1.5-5.5% (i-1)TiO
      2 , 0.06-0.9% FeO, and 2-6% slag forming agent (total) containing TiO
      2 and FeO. In addition, it contains 0.3-1% (i-2)Si and 0.8-3% Mn. In the above expression, [Zn], [Al] and [Mg] are each deposit (g/m

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding method for manufacturing an electric resistance welded tube, which stably suppresses generation of a cold-weld defect of the tube caused by insufficient heat-input in welding and manufactures an electric resistance welded tube having excellent weld quality, by predicting, with high accuracy, a generating state of a cold-weld defect in welding from an arithmetically processed result based on image-data of molten metal taken at the vicinity of a butting point and by on-line controlling the amount of weld heat-input in welding.
      SOLUTION: In a welding method for an electric resistance welded tube that is welded by forming molten metal at a butting point after forming a steel plate into a cylindrical shape, the electric resistance welded tube having excellent weld quality is manufactured as follows: a butting point and its vicinity, which include at least the molten metal, are imaged by an imaging means; two-dimensional image data, in which a weld line is made an X coordinate axis and a direction perpendicular to the X coordinate axis is made Y coordinates, are subjected to a binarizing process; further, variations of the Y coordinates on the outer periphery line of the molten metal image are found within a predetermined range in the X coordinate axis direction from the butting point; and the weld heat-input is controlled based on the variations of the Y coordinates.
