    • PURPOSE:To effect a construction which is simple, accurate and of low cost by advancing downwards with a shield excavator, using existing shaft pipe bodies as guides, assembling segments consecutively at the rear end of the excavator and moving around the existing shaft pipe bodies. CONSTITUTION:A cutter head 10 is provided at the tip of a skin plate 9 which surrounds the circumference of shaft pipe bodies 4, and a clamping device 11 to the outer periphery of the pipe bodies 4 is connected to an end of a propelling jack 12. The other end of the propelling jack 12 is pin-connected to the rear part of the cutter head 10. Then, the periphery of the pipe bodies 4 is clamped by the clamping device 11, and the propelling jack 12 is extended and a shield excavator 8 is advanced. Then, the shield excavator 8 proceeds with excavation by the length of a stroke of the propelling jack 12, and the clamping device 11 is released, and the propelling jack 12 contracted. The clamping device 11 is pulled to wards the cutter head 10, and the pipe bodies 4 are again clamped and the excavator 8 proceeds with excavation. Thus, excavation is continued with the pipe bodies 4 being used as guides, and segments 20 that are lining materials are assembled in a consecutive order at the rear end and upward of the excavator 8.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently introduce tensile stresses into bedrock or concrete to cause cracking by pushing apart first and second splitting body formed by the vertical splitting of a metallic horizontally-oriented cylindrical body, so that uniformly pressurizing the inner surface of a circular hole in the bedrock or concrete, and to make a large breaking force available from a hydraulic jack which is a combination jack, while keeping an entire device compact. SOLUTION: A piston moving inside an upper cylinder chamber 20c is used as an upper piston 2 serving also as a lower cylinder chamber and is coupled to a second splitting body 1b, between first and second splitting bodies 1a, 1b. A combination jack formed when the piston rod 3a of a lower piston 3b moving inside the upper piston 2 serving also as the lower cylinder chamber is coupled to the first splitting body 1a is assembled into place, is inserted into a circular hole in bedrock, concrete, etc., without being expanded, and is then expanded to separate the first and second splitting bodies 1a, 1b from each other to press the first and second splitting bodies 1a, 1b against the circumferential wall of the circular hole.
