    • PURPOSE:To safely and efficiently perform a sheathing work by a method in which a sheeting provided with a jack is hung down by a wire between sheet pile holders facing each other in two stages (upper and lower stages) along the inner wall of an excavated trench for a gas tube, etc., and sheet piles are erected under the guidance of the sheeting. CONSTITUTION:A trench 1 for a gas tube is excavated, and connecting metal tools 2 of angular steel pipes are hung down in two stages (upper and lower stages) horizontally by means of a wire rope 3, arranged facing the inner wall of the trench 1 at intervals in the longitudinal direction of the trench 1, and fixed by fixing the rope 3 to the hanging receiver 4 of the trench 1. Then, a sheeting 9 formed by providing jacks 7 between ends of sheet pile holders 5 and by connecting bearing metals 7a on both ends with the ends of the holders 5 by pins 8 is hung down in the trench 1, and then the connecting metals 2 are fitted into the ends of the holders 5 and connected with pins 8. A light- weight sheet pile 10 is erected between the inner wall of the trench 1 and the holders 5, the trench 1 is further excavated to a given depth while penetrating the sheet pile 10, and the jacks 7 are extended to attain a sheathing work. Then, the hanging receiver 4 is removed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical steel slit dam which can positively arrange a steel pipe column member that should be arranged on a downstream side, on the downstream side, and can positively arrange the steel pipe column member that should be arranged on an upstream side, on the upstream side.
      SOLUTION: The steel slit dam 14 is constructed of skeleton structures each having the upstream-side steel pipe column member 1 and the downstream-side steel pipe column member 4 which are inclined so that their upper portions are brought close to each other and their lower portions are separated from each other, and horizontal members 2 connecting the steel pipe column members. According to the structure of the steel slit dam 14, an inclination angle A of the downstream-side steel pipe column portion 1 is set steeper than an inclination angle B of the upstream-side steel pipe column member 4, and in this manner, the sloping gradient of the upstream-side steel pipe column member 1 is made different from that of the downstream-side steel pipe column member 4.
