摘要： PURPOSE:To secure such a ground surface as excels in smoothness with no grinding irregularity in an efficient manner by reciprocating a grinding nozzle, set up in a relative feeding direction between a material and this nozzle, in the relative feeding orthogonal direction beyond the material surface width, and grinding the work into being almost smoothened. CONSTITUTION:Plural pieces of abrasive water jet nozzles 2 capable of reciprocating up to the outward of each edge at both sides of a strip work W is formed into an multinozzle block 1. In succession, this strip work W is shifted in an arrow U direction, and this multiblock 1 is shifted in a cross direction at a scan stroke W2 larger than width W1 of the strip work W, whereby the locus forms a scanning pattern. Thus, each nozzle 2 of the multinozzle block 1 is tuned over at the outside of each edge at both sides of the strip work W, and thereby there is no turnover point formed in the point midway in the width. Consequently, grinding concentration on the turnover point by the nozzle 2 is eliminated, so that any grinding irregularity is preventable from occurring.

摘要： PURPOSE:To contribute to reuse of an abrasive and an improvement in work environment as rust prevention is effectively performed to the abrasive by adding a rust inhibitor, having an anticorrosive function for the fluid abrasive, in either process, in a process by means of a high-speed abrasive fluid jet to which the abrasive in added. CONSTITUTION:Abrasives out of a tank 5 are added to a jet stream in a nozzle, while a formed abrasive water jet is sprayed onto nozzle water W and thereby working takes place, therefore spent abrasives are recovered in a slurry form, they are recovered, selected, dewatered and dried up in a recycle unit and then refed to an inner part of the abrasive tank 5. In suchlike system, a rust inhibitor with a granular rust preventive function is additively fed to three spots of X1 to X3 by a pump from an additive storage tank 6. With this constitution, the extent of reuse life in the abrasive is prolonged and, what is more, operation can be done stably without entailing any supply instability due to rust gathering in the abrasive and any drop in working capacity.

摘要： PURPOSE:To increase the quantity of an abrasive grain supply to a high-speed fluid jet stream in a stable manner, to heighten a mixed energy effect and to improve work efficiency by letting it have a nozzle opening part and an abrasive nozzle conduit, and forming the mixing and accelerating area into multiple stages. CONSTITUTION:An abrasive water jet nozzle is provided with a high-speed fluid jet formed in the lower part of its opening part 2, and thereby negative pressure is produced in an abrasive grain mixing chamber 11 at the first stage by a Ventury effect in this high-speed fluid jet, so that abrasive grains from an inlet pipe 9 at the first stage are drawn in, and fed to this mixing chamber 11 by dint of the negative pressure. The drawn-in abrasive grains are mixed and accelerated at a conduit part inlet 7 of a mixing-accelerating conduit part 4 at the first stage, forming an abrasive fluid jet L1 at the first stage. In addition, the negative pressure is further produced in a mixing chamber 12 at the second stage by dint of the abrasive fluid jet J1 formed at the first stage, and thereby abrasive grains are further drawn in from an abrasive grain inlet 10 at the second stage by dint of the negative pressure, whereby an abrasive fluid jet J2 high in abrasive grain density is thus formed.

摘要： PURPOSE:To enable the sufficient follow-up of the slab from continuous casting to a rolling line and the sure descaling thereof. CONSTITUTION:The jet flow of a high-pressure polishing material contg. a polishing material, such as abrasive grains consisting of metallic powder, garnet, etc., in high-pressure fluid of >=100kgf/cm and more preferably 1000 to 4000kgf/ cm at a weight ratio of 0.05 to 2.0 supply weight of the polishing material/ volume of water is injected within a 50mm range from the respective top and bottom ends of the edge end faces of the slab and within a 100mm range from the edges of the upper and back surfaces thereof, by which the thickness of 1 to 5mm from the surfaces are ground away. The edge scabs generated in a subsequent rolling stage are completely prevented by concentrically grinding the ends of this slab. The grinding of this part can deal with the high-temp. slab as well and high-speed rolling line as well by applying, so-called abrasive water jet processing.
