摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provided an electrical connector for a flat cable for FPC(flexible printed circuit), capable of reducing substantial mounting area to a printed circuit board and having no trouble in decreasing the height. SOLUTION: This FPC electric connector 1 is provided with an insulating housing 3, a plurality of terminals 4 arranged laterally in parallel on the insulating housing 3 at the specified pitches, and a rotational cover 2 having a pressing part for pressing an FPC toward contact parts 17c of the terminals 4. The rotational cover 2 is supported on the inserting port 5 side of the FPC rotatable relative to the insulating housing 3, and the side 6 inner from the support part is moved above the insulating housing 3 along a circular locus, and the rotational cover 2 can be rotated in the width range of the insulating housing 3 between the inserting port 5 side to the inner side 6.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat connector for a flat flexible cable, which is capable of establishing reliable electrical connection to a flat flexible cable while needing no inserting force at the connection end of the cable and of ensuring a higher flatness on its terminals where solder tails are aligned. SOLUTION: A connector for a flat flexible cable comprises an insulating housing 4 that supports a plurality of terminals 2 paralleled with each other at predetermined pitches, and a metal cover 5 substantially U-sectioned. The cover 5 is fitted on the housing 4 to slide thereon along these terminals 2. The cover 5, when shifted to its fully fitted position, sets the tip 22a of a presser plate 22 formed in its top plate 5a opposed up and down to contact parts 7a on contact arms 7, while when shifted to its outside retreated position, keeps between the presser plate tip 22a and these contact parts 7a such a sufficient clearance as to accept the connection end 3a of a flat flexible cable 3 inserted therein.
