    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate an emergency extinguishment from an ordinary extingushment and achieve an extinguishing operation by providing a temporary engaging means formed of a solenoid operated by an output from a first delay means on the way of a track of the extinguishing base pin of a wick raising and lowering plate for setting a wick. SOLUTION: A solenoid 21a forming a temporary engaging means 21 urges a temporary urging lever 21b toward the solenoid 21a side under the urging force of a spring so that the rotation of an extinguishing base pin 13 is not interrupted. The temporary engaging lever 21b is projected on a track on which the extinguishing base pin 13 rotates only for a prescribed time upon extinguishment to temporarily stop the rotation of the extinguishing base pin 13 so halfway. Then, the amount of vaporization from a wick 3 is restricted to continue a combustion. After a prescribed time, the delay element of the first delay means 23 is released to turn off the solenoid 21a of the temporary engaging means 21. Accordingly, the temporary: engaging lever 21b returns to an original state and the wick 3 is lowered to a final drop position so that an emergency extinguishment can be discriminated from an ordinary extinguishment to perform an extinguishing operation.

      SOLUTION: This cartridge type oil tank is so formed that a tank body part 1 and a tank lid part 2 are joined together to be formed into a tank body, an oil feed port 4 is provided in one end, and the handle 5 constituted of a steel wire 8 and a resin grip 9 by integral molding is fixed by a handle metal fixture 6 in the other end. The handle metal fixture 6 is provided with a stopper 11 regulating a rotation angle of the handle 5, and the tank body part 1 is provided with a recess part 10 for storing a part or the whole of the resin grip 9, when the handle 5 is rotated to the side of the tank body part 1. When the tank body is erected, the handle 5 is eliminated from rotating to nowhere but in the side having the recess part 10 by the stopper 11 of the handle metal fixture 6.

SOLUTION: This oil burning appliance is equipped with a tank 1 storing fuel, a wick outer tube 4 and a wick guide tube 2 provided in the tank 1, a wick 8 moving vertically between the wick outer tube 4 and the wick guide tube 2, a guide tube 5 provided in internal communication with the wick outer tube 4 and guiding the vertical movement of the wick 8, and a smell absorbing device 11 provided on the upper side of the tank 1. The guide tube 5 has a prescribed gap to the inner peripheral surface of the wick outer tube 4 and forms an air chamber 3 made to communicate with a wick guide passage 8a through which the wick 8 moves vertically, while a plurality of communication paths 5a are provided on the bottom side and the air chamber 3 is made to open inside the tank 1 and to communicate with the smell absorbing device 11 through these communication paths 5a. Vaporized gas from the wick 8 in quenching is sucked by this constitution. Besides, quenching holes 4d making the air chamber 3 communicate with the external air are provided at prescribed intervals in the outer peripheral surface 4b of the wick outer tube opposite to the air chamber 3.
