摘要： PURPOSE:To stably produce a cast slab having good surface characteristic in the industrial scale by energizing AC current having a specific frequency on molten metal surface in a mold and heating. CONSTITUTION:The molten steel 3 is poured into the mold 1 for continuous casting through an immersion nozzle 2. Two electrodes 8 are dipped into this molten steel (molten metal) 3 and an AC source 9 is connected with these electrodes and the AC current having >=200Hz frequency is energized between the electrodes 8. By this method, the surface of the molten steel 3 is heated. The energization is executed in the range, which the impressed current value I (A) satisfies the inequality. In the inequality, t: thickness of the mold (m), l: length between the electrodes (m), f: AC frequency (s ). By this method, the surface part of the molten steel in the mold can be heated with a little input energy without contaminating the molten steel.

The above iron cores can be used for individually separated single iron core, or for a comb-type iron core having teeth parts of the comb-teeth as the fitting part of the coil. The above single phase AC current is desirable to be 0.10-6.0 Hz frequency.

摘要： PURPOSE:To easily separate and remove non-metallic inclusions in molten steel from the molten steel by charging the molten steel into a refractory vessel, giving horizontal rotating flow to this and aggregating, floating up and separating included impurities with centrifugal force. CONSTITUTION:Into a tundish composed of a rotrating vessel 1 and a float-up vessel divided with a partition wall 5, the molten steel 7 is poured from an inlet 3 and the horizontal rotating flow is given by rotating or shifting magnetic field device 2. The non-metallic inclusions in the molten sheet 7 are aggregated, separated and floated up on parabollic eddy flow with this rotating flow. In this case, the rotating vessel horizontally rotating the molten steel and the float-up vessel connected with this and providign flow-out hole and floating up the non-metallic inclusion in the molten steel, are partitioned with a refractory-made wall 5, and by arragning a communicating hole at position, where projected spectrum from molten steel flow-in point in the rotating flow spectrum to direction directed to flow-out point does not have direction to the flow-out point with the wall face, between the rotating vessel and the float-up vessel, a large part of the non-metallic inclusions in the molten steel are removed and cleaned.
