CONSTITUTION:In this mechanical stirring type air-liquid contacting system comprising stirring blades 3 attached in a plural number of steps on a stirring shaft 2, the air fed through the blast pipe 5 in the lower part of tank body 1 is finely diffused by the lower ones of said stirrng blades 3, raised by the mixture liquid flow generated by the revolution of said lower stirring blades and discharged outside of system through an air discharge pipe 8. Porous plates 6 each with a short cylinder are fitted between said upper and lower stirring blades 3 and on the upper part of the upper ones of said stirring blades 3 by means of supporting rod 7 or the like. Thereby, rising bubbles are atomized again by said porous plates 6 after or when combined and the ones combined again after passing through said porous plates 6 are atomized by said stirring blades 3 so that air-liquid contact area and mixation stirring efficiency increase.

    • PURPOSE: To make the pickup part of a colony transfer apparatus to be reusable, and to obtain an apparatus suitable for the mass culture of single bacterial strain, by applying simple disinfection treatment to the pickup part.
      CONSTITUTION: The XY stage 5-1 supporting the culture petri dish 1 and the XY stage 5-2 supporting the test petri dish 2 are placed on a common table 4. A bacterial strain in a designated colony of the colonies in the culture dish 1 is transplanted to the designated position of the medium in the test dish 2 by operating the pickup 6 attached to the transfer means 7. In the above computer- controlled colony transfer apparatus, the transfer means 7 has an arm 7-2 stopped at four concyclic definite positions on the common table and movable vertically at the position. A loop 6-1 is attached to the end of the arm 7-2, and the XY stages 5-1, 5-2, a heating means for disinfection 12 and a cooling means 13 are placed at the four definite positions.

    • PURPOSE:To carry out aerated cultivation efficiently, by carrying out heat exchange from the exhaust gas from a culture tank to liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen, introducing evaporated oxygen to the culture tank, and solidifying or liquefying carbon dioxide in the exhausted gas so that it is separated and removed. CONSTITUTION:An exhausted gas is taken out from the exhaust pipe 4 attached to the top of the culture tank 1, and introduced through the water removing device 5 to the device for solidifying carbon dioxide or the liquefier 6 of it. Liquid oxygen or liquid nitrogen produced by the oxygen production unit 2 of the low-temperature separating type is fed through the line 7 to the device for solidifying carbon dioxide or the liquifier 6 of it, where heat exchange takes place, solidified or liquefied carbon dioxide in the exhaust gas is exhausted from the line 12 to the outside of the system. While evaporated oxygen is sent from the feed pipe 11 and forced to flow together with the exhaust gas with carbon dioxide removed, and introduced to the culture tank 1.
