摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct longitudinal mis-convergence fluctuated in both positive and negative directions with simple adjustment. SOLUTION: A 1st bridge circuit is formed by vertical deflection auxiliary coils 7a, 7b provided to a side of an electron gun of a deflection yoke and generating a 4-pole magnetic field component and resistors 14d, 14e, a 2nd bridge circuit consisting of diodes 18a-18d is connected to the 1st bridge circuit, a variable resistor 15c is connected between midpoints of the 2nd bridge circuit and a slider terminal of the variable resistor 15c is connected to a point at the outside of the 1st bridge circuit. The variable resistor corrects the longitudinal line mis-convergence continuously in positive/negative directions.

SOLUTION: An electromagnetic coil of a convergence device 5 is formed with air-core electromagnetic coils 22-26 with no ferromagnetic core, fixed to the inner circumferential surface of a cylindrical holder 10 made of a non- magnetic material fixed to the neck part of a cathode ray tube so as to stack, and a plurality of ring-shaped magnets 14-17 are arranged on the outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical holder 10. The magnetic fields generated with the air-core electromagnetic coils make red, green, blue electron beams to conduct convergence adjustment and purity adjustment.

Furthermore, a resistance per unit area of a transparent conductive film 10 formed to an outer surface of a panel glass of the cathode ray tube 1 is selected to be 2×10 ohms/ unit area or below. An alternate voltage produced on the inner conductive film caused by a pulse voltage applied to the deflection yoke 6 is cancelled by the inverted blanking pulse to suppress the alternate electric field VLEF. Furthermore, the alternate electric field ELEF is suppressed to a restricted value or below by the shield action of the transparent conductive film 10.

摘要： PURPOSE: To correct mis-convergence in lateral and longitudinal lines with a simple configuration by connecting a vertical deflection coil corresponding to a divided vertical deflection coil halves to a required shunt circuit so as to shunt a current flowing tot a vertical coil and supplying the current to a reinforcement deflection coil without balancing. CONSTITUTION: Vertical deflection coil halves are divided respectively into two groups of coils 3a, 3c and coils 3b, 3d and the coils 3a-3d are connected in series. The corresponding divided coils 3b, 3d are connected to a shunt circuit comprising resistors 14c-14g and diodes 8a, 3b or the like. Part of the current flowing to the divided coils 3a, 3b and 3c, 3d is reduced by the current shunt by the shunt circuit to correct lateral line mis-convergence. Simultaneously longitudinal line mis-convergence attended with the correction is corrected via vertical auxiliary deflection coils 7a, 7b receiving a current with unbalance via the shunt circuit and the mis-convergence of lateral an longitudinal lines is corrected with a simple configuration.

Almost all of earth magnetism incident on the neck part 4 are magnetically shielded by installation of these magnetic substances 19 and 20.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a form-shaped article with a stable flat face and little deformation by forming an electron shield with an extremely low carbon steel plate containing carbon with a specific weight ratio by press molding and forming wrinkles on the outermost periphery section. CONSTITUTION:An electron shield 11 formed into an angular frame shape is formed by press-molding and machining an extremely low carbon steel plate containing carbon with the weight ratio of 0.02% or less by deep drawing. The electron shield 11 has wrinkles (or folds) 12 on its outermost periphery section. These wrinkles 12 can be formed concurrently when the electron shield 11 itself is formed by the press mold machining. Thereby, a form-shaped article with a stable flat face and little deformation can be obtained, and the distance between the outer periphery end face 112 and the inner periphery of a panel glass (not shown by the figure) can be reduced. Accordingly, a color picture tube is obtained that can suppress the gas discharged in the tube without impairing the function to shield the secondary electrons emitted from an electron gun and hold the initial emission rise speed even after the stability test is completed.
