    • PURPOSE:To specify a device which is still powered on when the microprogram of a service processor indicates a break of power supply, by displaying its power-on line on the screen of the service processor if such a device exists. CONSTITUTION:A service processor SVP4 is coupled with a CPU2 through an SVP interface 103 and also connected to the CPU2, a main memory 1, an input/output controller 3, and an input/output device group 5 through a power supply controlling interface 104. The power supply controlling interface 104 consists of a command part for commands from the SVP and a state display part and the command part consists of the on-off line of a power source and the state display part consists of a complete line, a local line, an alarm line, and a power-on line. When some power source of the input/output device group 5 is still on even after an off command is sent out through the off line of the command part, that is displayed at the display part of the SVP through the power- on line to specify the corresponding device. Consequently, an input/output device is prevented from being held on forgetfully.

    • PURPOSE:To improve data transfer efficiency and reduce the occupation time of transfer lines and so on, by compacting and transmitting data in case that data of the same contents is continuous. CONSTITUTION:Data transfer control unit 1 is constituted by four blocks of input data deciding part 100, frequency counting part 200, frequency comparing part 300, and data transmission selecting part 400, and before data transfer, data transfer start line 4 is set to ''1'' and required circuits of deciding part 100 and counting part 200 are initialized. Data given to data input line 2 is held in data holding circuits 101-103, and preceding data held in circuit 102 and the output of circuit 101 are compared with each other by comparing circuit 104, and data is held in circuit 102 in case of agreement between them, but counting part 200 and comparing part 300 are initialized in case of disagreement. Then, in case that data of the same contents is continuous, data is counted by counting part 200, and data on data output line 3 transmitted from selecting part 400 is compacted, thus improving data transmission efficiency and reducing the occupation time of transfer lines and so on.
