CONSTITUTION:An air chamber 4 and a Venturi body 5 constituting an intake pipe are mounted between a throttle chamber 2 mounting pipe are mounted between a throttle chamber 2 mounting a throttle valve 1 and an air cleaner 3, and this intake pipe is formed to divided construction. An injector 7 is contained in the center position of a pipe line formed by the air chamber 4 and the Venturi body 5. An injector retainer 8 comprises a bottom injector retainer 9 and an upper injector retainer 10. A bypass passage 13 is formed to a junction face between the air chamber 4 and the Venturi body 5, and a hot-wire air flow meter 16 is arranged to a position in the vicinity of an outlet 15 in the inside of the passage 13, in consequence a hot wire is prevented from a stain.

    • PURPOSE:To dispose a hot-wire type air flow meter in such a way as to be subjected to no influence of a back fire and provide a superior metering precision of air flow rate. CONSTITUTION:Because a heating element 32 of a hot-wire type air flow meter and a thermistor 34 are contained in an orifice body 28 which is inserted into a large venturi 26 disposed at the upper side of an injector 18, a pressure of a back fire, if broken out, may be blocked by the upper wall face of an intake cylinder 12 and prevented from direct application on the heating element 32 and the thermistor 34. Thereby, destruction of the heating element 32 and the thermistor 34 caused by the back fire may be prevented. An orifice 30 through which an air proportional to an intake quantity of air is positioned at the upstream of the injector 18 and if an air passage is polluted with fuel or other contaminant substances or different quantities of air may pass therethrough, the orifice has an effect of precisely metering an air flow rate because of said upstream position.

    • PURPOSE: To weaken inertia of fuel flow in valve-closing of a solenoid installed in a slow system of a carburetor as well as improve the capability of following of the fuel in its valve-opening, by forming a small hole which causes only air to flow in the valve-closing.
      CONSTITUTION: A solenoid 7 is provided with a main system communicating with a float chamber 20 of a carburetor 1, while a supply solenoid 12 is provided with a supply passage 10 as a slow system. Both solenoids 7 and 12, an opening and clossing time of which is decided through a control circuit 15 where various kinds of signals 16W18 of an engine input, feed-back controls an air-fuel ratio. A valve hole 11, which permits only air to flow even in valve-closing, whereby fuel flow in valve- opening may be kept good.

    • PURPOSE:To enable to adjust the position of jet needle easily by removing air cleaner, by arranging the jet needle adjusting apparatus for variable venturi carburetor such that the head of the jet needle is held between a coil spring and a conical surface at the top of an adjustment screw. CONSTITUTION:The variable venturi carburetor shown in the drawing comprises a piston 2 which is disposed in the body 1 of carburetor such that it is moved vertically in a direction perpendicular to the intake passage. The piston 2 is moved in response to the venturi vacuum by a vacuum operated means disposed upwardly of the piston 2. In the above arrangement, fuel metered by jet needle 8 and fuel jet 13 is ejected into venturi portion 4. Here, the upper end of needle 8 is fixed to head member 9 in piston 2, so that it is urged upward by coil spring 10. The position of this head member 9 is controlled by conical surface 11 at the top of adjustment screw 12. With such an arrangement, position of needle 8 can be adjusted easily by turning adjustment screw 12 from the upstream side of intake passage after removing air cleaner.
